First the negative. Smoking, Ugh! However, if you can find a non-smoking area you can enjoy your meal in very rustic, very relaxed and very beachy surroundings. The seafood is cooked perfectly. Order anything . . . heck, order everything!

I dropped in here for a light lunch of a crumbed pork Sandwich and a cold SML. I found that there were far to many raw onions on the Sandwich which I found very overpowering.
Venue is nice and rustic with sand floors. Despite there being several staff in the corner doinf some preparation service was quite poor.
I have also returned in the evenings to have a beer and its a great spot for taking photos of the sunset.
The European owner was friendly and enjoyed a drink or two himself during the sunset.

In the middle of November 2017 I was lucky to visit Sipalay. During my visit I was lucky enough to get to know Brian's cuisine. I have to say that spaghetti bolognese and pizza are probably the most common dishes of the Swiss operator. Especially...Morehello.. I highly appreciate your review for our little restaurant, were very happy you enjoyed your meals, thank you very much.. looking forward to see you back @ Buenaventura restaurant...

This was the resort we stayed at on Sugar Beach for 3 nights.
Can I start by saying all the staff at this resort were sensational and went out of their way to accomodate all our requests including a special request for Eggplant Omelette which my wife requested despite it not being on the menu. ...and a special mention to Joyjoy.
We had several breakfasts at this resort (they were not included in the over night tariff and I believe should be) and dinner on one occasion
I didnt find the menu for breakast and dinner all that inspiring but was a convenient option for us.
Breakfast wasnt special but simple and adequate and brewed coffee would be a great improvement rather than the instant coffee sachets.
Dinner likewise was adequate but again nothing special.

We tried to inquire about dive lessons. My husband wish to try. So in this case we ordered food for our lunch while waiting.
The food was okay. We viewed the place and it mostly housed divers. There's a swimming pool for guests that was used also for beginners divers lessons.

Exciting menu options, great venue and a friendly atmosphere. The Mixed Food Restaurant offers Filipino dishes livened up with a French touch and a few French and international specialties. We are confident you'll enjoy our tasty food at a very affordable price. We look forward to welcoming you.
Great food. Western and Filipino. All dishes I tried are really amazing. So good. My best was their home made pasta and golden shrimps. With my friends, we shared quite a few other dishes: fried rice special, chicken curry, maya maya tinola. Even their BBQ is special. And for dessert I had a crepe nutella. And prices are very reasonnable. You have to try this place right on the beach.
