Stopped in here for a break when driving up to Mt Cook and was pleasantly pleased. Food was excellent. Service speedy. Lots of Seating - both inside an out.
Also, if interested, you can see the sheep outside and on certain days there is also a merino sheep shearing demo.

We are a boutique cafe, located at the lovely airfield of Omarama. The wonderful view of the Benmore Ranges, watching the gliding activity, or just enjoying the silence under the shade of our romantic willow tree, is our key features. We away from the main road, and away from mainstream tourism and tourist buses. No tv, no radio, but fine selection of music is played in the backround. We are also very biker friendly, as we are keen biker ourselves - also we offer helping hands/tools, even some basic replacement parts. Hope to see you around.
Its a 20 min walk from town but definitely worth it. The food is much more interesting than the pub grub served in town. Its great value and the service is charming.

Some of the items on the menu are certainly very classy for the average pub fair.
My partner had the green lipped mussels with a spicy tomato chorizo sauce whilst I had the steak with peppercorn sauce.
Both were absolutely delicious and were very generous servings.
Definitely not your average pub food - highly recommended!

This is a popular pit stop with tourists including tourist busses. We stopped by here on the way to Lake Tekapo to grab a bite to eat. The store sells a wide variety of NZ souvenirs which was great to try out testers and look for gifts. It has a large cafe area and is pretty much self service but the food is just average cafe food for what you pay - coffee, sandwiches, hot food, ice cream etc. Other than that, not very memorable.

We are the only customers on that night. The waiter was so friendly and patient. We enjoyed the food and the whole environment. In the morning, the restaurant serves buffet continental breakfast. We all want something hot and fresh. The waitress ordered hot cooked breakfast.

This is our local and definitely the best place in town to have an evening meal - I am addicted to the Thai Lamb Salad - if you dont like it spicy it's easy to scrape aside the pieces of fresh red chilli. The Rib-eye steaks are awesome and all the meals are generous. Because it is popular, order as soon as you get there.
