I was in the Comoros on business and after meeting with the Chamber of Commerce we agreed to meet for lunch the next day with the Director. He steered us toward L'Alchemiste. It's not fancy - positioned behind (or next to but off the road) a petrol station and right on the seashore.
One eats on the veranda under a cover so there is no protection against the indigenous fauna (flies). That said, it's manageable and the weather (April) and view (seaside) were excellent.
Just pick the seafood and enjoy!

French owned bar in Moroni, the capital of the former French colony of Grande Comore .The Islands themselves are very impoverished and most things need to be imported making everything so expensive .This is a lovely local bar ,the Owner and his staff are friendly and welcoming .There is a pool table and large Seating areas ,they also do meals at reasonable prices .

We wanted to try a Restaurant the locals go to. Our driver recommended New Select. Seating is on the open deck right next to the road. The staff is friendly, although English isn't spoken here, we made do with their few words of English and our few words of French. The food was very good! I had the grilled lobster seasoned with butter and vanilla. My friends enjoyed the curry chicken. There also was some Deserts that looked fantastic. We liked it so much, we went back a second night.

This restaurant had a pleasant ambiance but that was about it. We had pizzas. While mine was ok, my wife's vegetable pizza had raw vegetables on it, difficult to eat. Service was, shall we say difficult...I asked for some spicy sauce and got olive oil. My wife asked for pepper and we got a mixture of salt and pepper...then the lady serving us disappeared for a while...even asking for the bill was a challenge.

Being at Le Coraya gives you the exact feeling you seek when you are in an island. Their menu has a wide selection of food inspired by many countries all around. From their variety of cocktails (coupled with Shisha) and the chef's authentic special of the day, to the view and beautiful soft music, you will most certainly feel the island vibe. The stuff is very professional and multilingual and Always friendly. I enjoyed the Thursday and Friday karaoke nights. The place offers a whole lot more than expected. I thoroughly enjoyed every visit.

I have been to Wasta many times. The food is not so good but bread is ok. So its not recommended to have dinner or lunch there except if we are in a hurry.
A very Nice place for eat on Moroni, sea view. Grill and traditional kitchen, all products are fresh and Halal. Hope to see you at Le MaGma Moroni ! Un cadre agréable avec vue sur mer, des produits frais et Halal, cuisinés en grillades, brochettes et plats traditionnels. À bientôt au MaGma !
