Huge plates of delicious breakfast goodies. Excellent bacon, eggs, hash browns & biscuits. The only disappointment was the gravy, seemed to be from a package without all the greasy sausage yumminess I expect in a Southern gravy. Low small town prices are a plus. I’ll try lunch next time.

Oh my. We had to rate this so poorly. First of all I just wanted to have a glass of tap water. They don't have it. Then we ordered the jalapeño cheese sandwich because of the wonderful above review. My husband and I each left half of it as it was not edible. Never stopping there again.

Fun atmosphere in a beautifully restored historic, downtown Hico building - Texas craft beers, wines, and healthy, flavorful food with a Mediterranean/Latin flare. Cafe in front and fitness studios in the back.
We stopped in for a drink while touring downtown Hico. Great place for a pit stop. The combination of food & beverage with things like spin and yoga in one establishment seems odd but it looks like they make it work. Nice job.

AWFUL!! I can't believe this Hico Popcorn place is in business with their level of customer service!! Been wanting to try it for a long while now. A co-worker got some a couple months back. She said it was okay (with the accompanying shoulder shrug and walk away....). Tried a sample last weekend.
The popcorn was unbelievably disappointing. First, it was stale. Total Garbage. Was hoping for crunchy kettle corn, but wound up with movie theater stale popcorn. Second, the Caramel was not good and lackluster. Tried regular flavor and caramel flavored: both terrible. The flavor components weren't on point, or even there. It increased my blood pressure. Finally, it was seriously overpriced. Don't waste your money.
I would have thought that if you specialize in popcorn, you'd make sure that your product is fresh. I wonder if the people selling this popcorn ever taste it?

Well this was an interesting visit for sure! Traveling and chose to stop in small town restaurant to have a rant or rave to share on trip advisor. Food was pretty good, no complaints. Staff was pleasant and service was swift. Atmosphere was very appropriate. Went to leave and my vehicle had went nuts and wouldn't start. Small town USA had some awesome people that saved the day. Staff was outside going above and beyond trying to help me. Fireman (off duty) was leaving and went and found jumper cables at the fire station. After realizing it was probably a battery he called the "Handyman of the town". Honestly don't know what all the guy does but it seemed that he owned a car wash, did electrical, plumbing and was a mechanic. Regardless he was my savior. Thank you small town Texas for ur hospitality and allowing this country bumpkin to get back on the road safely.

We've eaten at many, many Italian restaurants, so we have a pretty good idea what good food tastes like. The plentiful portion of lasagna at Giovanni's that we shared was a good as any we have had, anywhere! The hot, fresh bread was perfect; even the salad, with house Italian dressing, was good. The restaurant itself is basic, nothing fancy, and is about half a mile from the central downtown area.

The atmosphere in this recently renovated space is great with lots of wood and beautiful paintings of local scenes. The food is wonderful as is the service.
