Montana Cafe

We wanted a quick bite before we headed to Orr to board out houseboat. The cafe was busy with what appeared to be locals. I had the special of the day chicken salad on wheat with tomato ravioli basil soup. Both were delicious- the chicken salad looked homemade- and the soup was a great twist to tomato soup. Our waitress was Rachel and she took good care of us. Hubby had smoked Turkey sandwich with chili - he said the chili was a good combo of meat and beans. Our only disappointed was no pie.

Stopped for lunch. The place, which looked very clean is a typical bar/pub setting in a small town, frequented by locals. There is a lot of seating available inside. Menu is a typical bar food menu. Burgers are great, there are variety available. The Rueben was very good.

This was an average place to eat. The food was good, but nothing special. The servers were attentive and the food arrived quickly. I would eat here again.

Very good with a new menu and interesting selections. Not your run of mill North woods places. A very nice view of Lake Vermilion. Well staffed and this year some of them are Jamaican. The walleye is very good and the Chef's special is usually creative. Nice ambiance.

Stopped on my way to International Falls for a fast lunch. Very fast service even if it was a little bit of a crowd at the time. Decent food for a fast food. Plenty of parking space, and good setup in the restaurant

My wife and I stopped at this Subway on our way home from a Canadian canoe trip last week. Obviously Subway has a limited menu, but the sandwiches were well prepared and tasted good.

What really stuck with me was the friendliness of the staff, they were attentive and quick, with lots of smiles. The Subway chain/franchise owner should be very proud of his staff and how they treated us.
