We were on our way to White sands and we took our break in Carrizozo , and this was the only restaurant open that day . We ordered fish tacos , chicken tacos and chicken burrito . The Burrito was the only dish that was delicious , the others were mediocre to poor . The cole slaw , rice and beans had the taste that they were probably cooking since a week , too dry and no flavor . teh fish in the tacos are probably frozen fish sticks that are deep fried . Nothing too special about this place , Considering the fact that the burrito is just one round more than the taco and there wasnt enough portion for lunch.

We were passing through and decided a coffee would be nice - this place had that, and more. Friendly locals and great service - I would be happy to recommend this place to my friends.

On our way back to Ruidoso from Alamogordo the long way and found ourselves very hungry at this four way stop at a two highway intersection. We pulled into Four Winds and were glad we did. There were few customers at 2:30 pm in the afternoon so we sat wherever we wanted. The waitress was friendly and prompt. We both ordered a cheeseburger with fries. It was so good! The best meal we'd had so far on our trip!

We serve fresh made from scratch Mexican and American Food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
That's right, everything tasted homemade! The homemade chips and salsa to start out were beyond amazing! Then we enjoyed Chili Rellenos and the special Chili Rellenos Burrito for lunch. The chili rellenos were the best with fresh chilis and the light breading! Then the beans and rice were like made just for you! No slop that had been sitting in the kitchen for ever! Then they bring you a bit of fresh banana pudding for a treat!

We all had the burrito but with different fillings, one with beef and cheese, and one wiht chicken and cheese both with red chili. Good size servings, excellent chili. Great view of the Carrizozo lake from the restaurant windows. Also has a covered portico out back next to the lake. At the edge of the golf course

Ordered two small beef and bean burritos. Meals were served quickly and hot in to-go containers with salsa. Burritos were tasty, but a bit dry. The salsa helped, but it was a bit too spicy for my wife. All meals are to go. They do have a few outside picnic tables.

The Lunch Wagon was a car hop so you do not even get out of your car. The pulled pork was delicious and my husband had the brisket. He said that was very good also. We took it back to our camp site at the Valley of Fires and ate it over looking the lava rocks.

Family owned and operated. Serving a variety of breakfast and lunch meals all day. Made fresh everyday.
This place looks like not much. Don't expect decor or ambience because you won't find any. But do expect good basic food. We split an order of green Chile cheese fries with bacon and it was super with crisp fries, spicy, but not too hot, and big chunks of bacon.
