Founded by greengrocer Bill Collison, Bill's serves eclectic British dishes made with fresh and seasonal ingredients.
We were on our way to the dock but got there and it was empty. Never a good sign so headed back to the car when the smell of really good coffee grabbed us. Was wet and stormy yesterday yet this place was packed....a good sign. We were seated by the window, coffees ordered straight away, then water was brought to the table too. Coffee was beautiful. Really smooth! We both ordered our breakfast and they were happy to change my fried eggs to scrambled, and added some hash browns.Food didnât take long, arrived hot, nicely presented with eggs that looked like theyâd just been laid. Iâve bought organic eggs before but never seen anything this colour. Amazing! Everything was quality. The hash browns felt like I was eating a treat. Really good!!The only thing I was gutted about was that just after my breakfast had been put in front of me, I saw someone elseâs (a stack of pancakes with bacon etc) and I wanted that too then. Staff were really attentive. Nothing was too much. The whole vibe in then is good. Everywhere you look thereâs something fun or beautiful to look at. Even the salt and pepper were really cute Iâd go here again in a flash!!This place allows dogs and they bring a bowl of water for them. We donât have a dog and at one point the dog behind me barked for ages which hurt me ears somewhat but the courteous owner took it outside for a minute and all was well again. Definitely call in for food sometime. Youâll not regret

Hopefully on your next visit we improve your opinion on the food side of things. Kind Regards

We have had a few celebrations in the Cedar Tree. Booking is easy (online or 'phone). The staff are excellent as is the pub and the food especially the carvery and the desserts. If you are shopping in the area before 11am try the buffet breakfast. Well worth a visit!Hi Denis A, great to hear you enjoyed your visit to our pub. Hope to see you again soon!

Was in the area visiting friends and decided to stop here for some dinner. Having been here a number of years ago, I was glad to see the same management still in place and standards still as high as our previous visit. The atmosphere was just as welcoming and the staff were friendly and chatty, but not too overwhelming. I ordered the Chip shop Platter recommended by Helen, it was amazing! Our meals arrived quickly and were hot and tasty. Helen was attentive throughout and even gave us ideas of places to visit whilst we were in the area. I would definitely recommend The Merrier Harrier if you are after good hearty food at a reasonable price, served with a smile!Hello Ginamc13,Thank you for your fantastic review, itâs awesome to read such positive things. Weâre glad you enjoyed the Chip shop platter itâs a new addition to the menu. Hope you enjoy the rest of your visit to sunny wales. Thank youTeam Merrie Harrier
