Walk Madisonville! is a brochure containing three walking routes in the downtown area. The walks, the Art Walk, the History Walk, and the Patriotic Walk, highlight the area and encourage walking for health benefits. Each walk is approximately 2 miles and loop so walkers can begin and end at any point on the map. The cabin was moved as Ruby Laffoon's birthplace to the Historical Society site at great effort by the Society to honor the Governor born in Madisonville who was a rival to Happy Chandler and got the TB Hospital built locally. It shows how life was when he was a boy. There is even a cabinet built from the wood of a tree that grew at his place. You can see his photos above the mantle.
