Rumors swirled for years about The Bull Pen being sold. It finally happened. The only familiar face was Harry Sickler at the bar having a drink. We stopped in after not being there for few months. The hostess was pleasant until she saw that we were taken aback by the extreme change in the surroundings. I asked to see a menu before we decided to stay for lunch. That's when she got a bad attitude and it was downhill from there. Even our waitress was dismissive of us. We've been going to the Bull Pen since the early 1970s. It was shocking to see the place so different. The hostess should have understood and smiled and welcomed us to the new Bull Pen. Instead she got a negative attitude. The menu looked fine but much more limited, which I understand. BUT, the place is cold, cold, cold. The walls are painted grey, all the sports memorabilia is gone - moved to a future Tyrone sports museum - and the wait staff are all new. Not one familiar face except for Harry. Even the customers are different. The food was meh... nothing special. Beer prices were raised $1.00. Nothing special, nothing outstanding, nothing familiar which is why one went to the Bull Penn to begin with. Good luck to them, but we'll never go back.
Itâs Summertime. There is no better time to grab the family and grab a slushy and some pizza at Jean Oâs. Make sure you double check the hours (closed Sundays/Mondays) and they donât open until late (4pm) the rest of the week. Our personal favorite is the large Blue Raspberry.
We have been coming here for years. The menu is extensive. You can get everything from Pizza (of course) to a variety of pastas dishes. But my absolute favorite is their chicken salad. Their servings are plentiful. Dinner items come with their own hot baked bread.
This little Italian restaurant is located in the heart of Tyrone, PA. We happened to stop in while traveling. I ordered an Italian wedge and my wife had a meatball sandwich. Both were large enough for us to save half of each for another day. The prices were reasonable, the food tasty and the service was great.

Had lunch with another person. The service was very good and friendly. Had a grilled chicken salad and it was good sized, tasted great and they serve a nice sized container of salad dressing. I got a slice of pizza to see what their pizza was like. It was good and I would get it again. I saw some people with other Italian dishes that looked good. Will have to come back again for sure.

It was a busy Friday night but we had no problem getting a table at 6:00 pm. My wife ordered a personal 10â pizza with sausage, green peppers and mushrooms. The toppings dominated the pie! The sausage was large chunks of meat. The crust was nicely done. She said it was among the best pizza she has ever eaten. It was so large for a small pizza that she brought half of it home. I sampled it and agree that it was a very good pie. I had deep fried oysters with Mac and cheese and stewed tomatoes, also very good. The next time I want to try their meat lovers pizza. It should be good.

We eat at Macs a few times/month and I can honestly say we have never been disappointed. The favorite in our house, the spicy raspberry boneless wings. They recently added (a few months ago) a new roast beef sub - DELISH. Grab a buffalo chicken dip out of the cooler to go. It's great reheated for a quick snack for the fam.
