This was my first visit to Papa Keno's. I met a buddy there who swears by it and is a regular. I thought I'd cut down on the carbs a bit and have a sandwich instead of a slice of pizza. I had the Italian and it was okay but nothing special. Based on similar sandwiches elsewhere in the metro area this sandwich was average at best. There are so many better places to eat around here that I doubt if I'll ever be back but, if I am, I'll certainly try one of the pizza slices. A photo of my sandwich is attached. Oh, one other thing: it wasn't bitterly cold outside but we both felt the need to have our jackets on while we ate.Thanks for reading. If you've found this helpful I'll appreciate a thumbs up below.

Pizza is nothing special, the chicken salad is actually good. However, for the premium cost of a pie, this place doesn't seem high class. I don't recommend it.

Minsky's is a KC institution, and this location fits the bill. Authentic old KC charm. Can come in dressed in baseball cap & shorts & tees, or in a suit after church. Thick crust, deep-dish pizza served using fresh ingredients. Wait times can vary as can service quality, but hey, you ain't here for fine dining. Good value for a pizza joint. Not much of a wine list, but good beer menu.

We decided to sit at the bar which was our first mistake. My husband order beer and after trying to order 2 different drinks that are a staple at any other bar I was told that the bartender didn't know the first one and that he had no sambuca for the second one. No problem, my next choice was o.k. After reading the specials and being ignored. Our bartender decided to have a conversation with another employee from one end of the bar to the other about his frozen balls, yes you are reading this correctly. If that wasn't off putting enough, my husband asked him to refrain from speaking about his blue balls, yes another direct quote, he told him that we do not have a choice in the matter and that his conversation wasn't really relevant to us. I proceeded to speak to the manager about this, which was our second mistake of the evening. Even though he apologized to us for the behavior of the bartender I got the feeling was being patronized and nothing will be done about this. We payed our bill and left. Conversation like this among employees has no place in a restaurant that supposedly prides its self as being a family oriented establishment. I am palled by this.Hi Sabine! Oh no! we're sorry to see this 1 star review, this is certainly not how we intend to treat our guests. We take reviews very seriously and address each one. Visiting with friends and wanted an easy no hassle restaurant. Easy order in line, friendly service and reasonable prices. Good portions. Food is brought to table. Lot's to choose from and excellent sides and salads. Not a fancy place, but kept clean. I would return.

My family and I stopped in here after a funeral. It was right around lunch so they were pretty busy! We did get a seat right away. I enjoyed it because they had a special (?) that was a mini personal pizza, a garlic bread and drink (I think). I got Alfredo and Iâm super picky about Alfredo... I wasnât really a fan of the Alfredo but it was still good!My mom got the meatball sandwich and absolutely loved it!! Our waitress was really sweet and chatty. She was a nice positive light after our tough afternoon.I would go back to try some regular pizza or a sandwich.
