Having enjoyed a matinee in the West End, then found nearby restaurants absolutely heaving, we decided to catch a train back to Horley, and tried Il Sorriso. And what a find! The waiting staff were really friendly, and seemed to interchange between tables seamlessly. The food was sensational. My wife really enjoyed her macaroni, while I demolished my seafood risotto, packed full of octopus, cockles, mussels, shrimps, prawns and topped with a king prawn. A nice glass of Italian red rounded things off nicely. About half the tables were taken, and there was a lovely ambiance among the diners. I will definitely be back.We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review of your positive experience with us. Our family went for Lunch on a horrible rainy Saturday. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, light and noticeably clean. We particularly liked the window into the kitchen and watching the chefs at work, they certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves! It all added to the cheerful busy ambience which was very welcome on such a miserable November day! The food was really delicious, we had salads, pasta and very tasty bruschetta! I would highly recommend this restaurant, it is most definitely superior to other chains. Truly excellent!

Disappointing visit with friends starting as soon as we walked through the door - although staff were present behind the bar no one acknowledged us. Onto the drinks - the restaurant didnât have the wine in stock which we ordered from the menu.Main courses seemed ok but then on to dessert. I was served the chocolate gnocchi (eventually) and it was burnt. All staff then seemed to magically disappear so I had to walk in to the kitchen to return the burnt food. When I pointed out the issue the staff member seemed to already know it was burnt.In general the staff seemed disinterested and the whole experience was not something I would want to repeat. Judging by the restaurant being only half full on a Friday evening Iâm guessing thatâs the consensus of many locals.The decor outside the restaurant is very aged with flaking paint and rotting wood. If âAskâ donât want to put the effort in then they should vacate and give a chance to another restaurateur who does care about good service, good food and good experiences.

No, Seriously! We had a ball, the food was good, the wine (and fizz for the Mums) excellent, and the kids were entertained royally, so the adults were able to enjoy their meal in relative peace. The restaurant was absolutely heaving, but the staff kept on top of things, were relaxed, and smiled frequently. The only slight negative was that the front door did not close automatically, so there were frequent draughts which would probably have been more uncomfortable in cold weather. Overall, though, this restaurant delivers.

Pizza Project now have a shop in Merstham. In the old picture gallery.Same fantastic food as the mobile but with knives and forks.Proper Pizza and nice people.On our visit they were still unlicensed and they had no problem with us having our own booze.Pizza and a beer.Perfect comboNot sure of the opening times so look at there web site or call ahead.
