What others have said before is definitely true, but I wasn't as blown away. This is a nice little place at the edge of the restaurant area. There are many types of pizza to choose from, although at the end of the evening the pizza toppings that are still available may vary (one topping becomes sold out, they don't always make new ones, so you can only pick those that are left from batches that have been made before). The taste of the pizza was good, but it - at least the one I tried - is not the typical Italian thin kind of pizza; it is a slightly thicker one. Prices are low. You pay per gram, and you can choose how big a slice you want. Sitting inside you will miss some atmosphere and it is too hot during a hot summer night. There's a limited number of tables available outside (for around ten people). If you do get a spot though, I'm sure you will enjoy the pizza. Prices are definitely good for what you get.

We ate at LaStoria after failing to get a table at the fantastic Toscano next door. It was inexpensive but really not great. Pizza, pasta, etc. Nothing was particularly great. The waitress was friendly but I found the gum chewing in my face off putting.

Pizza made in front of you and cooked in an open wood oven, reasonable prices and the couple there is always pleasant. It's our go-to place for pizza. Yum!

Walked by this for several days thinking it was a pizza / spaghetti place before giving it a try. Quite a friendly and relaxed place with a touch of sophistication - serves pizza and pasta dishes but not a casual pizza parlor. I ordered veal with pasta and the serving was well flavored and large enough for two.

On the recommendation of TripAdvisor we stopped to have dinner in your real Italian Restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and portions are plenty, just what you would want. Service was super generous and friendly. Next time I am in Metz, will definitely be coming back because this Restaurant is not to be Missed!

No 1 restaurant in Metz? Really!? It just shows how, even in France, TA reviewers can get it badly wrong.I should have known, of course, that a pizza called Andre, aaah! was not going to be authentically Italian, but I was not quite prepared for the way in which the odd mix of toppings (including three very small mussels in their shells) coalesced into an off-putting sludge when it hit the hot dough. I could not bring myself to finish it - even though I am a World War II baby trained to eat whatever is on my plate. The place itself lacked anything resembling comfort or charm; and the only redeeming feature was the cheap but good carafe of wine.
