Not the best choice in town. Food was not prepared well and was very slow. They were not busy but it took 40 minutes for a pizza.

Monicals Pizza of O'Fallon

We got the breadsticks and pepperoncinis (sp?) as our appetizers. The breadsticks were pretty good and the pepperonis were really good. I got an 8 inch pizza with beef, bacon, and mushroom and my wife got the baked ravioli. I thought my pizza was very good. The crust was very crispy and the sauce was good. It was a bit smaller than I expected but I was just able to finish it with the appetizers we had, so that turned out well. My wife wasn’t so lucky. Her baked ravioli was only average and was nothing to get excited about. She said it was overcooked. The service was good. The appetizers and main courses were spread out well, and our waiter was nice.

Good News Brewing Company & Wood Fired Pizza

Loving Craft beer & pizza we had to check out this place while in this O'Fallon neighborhood. We actually drove by it, missed the small black and white sign by the street in a mostly residential neighborhood. Limited parking in front of the building; the laundry next door has most of the spots designated for them. Luckily there is additional parking in the yellow marked spots across the street in the packaged liquor parking lot. It's a small place, a few long tall tables and bar w/ a pizza oven at one end. Adjoining is a great covered area that has picnic tables and garage doors that open during warm weather. Disappointing that their online beer list is out of date. But each table has mini clip board w/ their current beers and food menu items. Beer menu is a good selection of their beers and a few great guest taps (RSIPA by local Washington, MO Deep Sleep Brewing which is very tuff to find!). Their flights are four 4 oz. beers and you can purchase 4 oz. single sample pours to create your own flight or go for a smaller 10 oz. glass or the standard 16 oz. beer. Their wood fired pizza options are single size "paper plate" size and are a bit out of the ordinary. They offer a pizza flight - 2 pieces of 4 different pizzas - great idea! The pepperoni pizza had banana peppers but not enough, just 1 slice of banana pepper per piece of pizza and the sauce was uniquely spicy. The Vampire (lots of garlic sauce) with spinach and 2 cheeses and their BBQ chicken w/ red onion were super yummy. My only complaint is the pizza was served on a cheap paper plate that was too small, tuff to handle, especially when hot out of the oven and became moist & floppy. I get it that paper plates work well to eat from in a casual venue but not to serve on. Service was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our pizza and flights while watching the Cardinals on the large TV out on the covered patio. Can't wait till they open their 2nd location in Defiance!

I have had numerous pizzas from Pizza Huts but for some reason this one just gets it right! The pepperoni pizza was cooked perfect with a nice crispiness to the top of the pizza without being overdone & the crust had the perfect crunch. The sauce on the pizza was not too saucy or dry & the right amount of cheese. Pizza was delivered on time & still hot! Also love the pork topping pizza. They put plenty on meat on the pizzas. Order online for discounts & specials! Keep up the good work Lake St. Lou!

Pantera's Pizza of O'fallon

Reviewed By John S

When we planned our trip to revisit the St. Louis area, we knew in advance where our first dinner would be - Pantera's. We had patiently waited for two years for another Hunk, the king of all pizzas. Once again, we were not disappointed. This place hasn't changed much in 20+ years, but on this visit, we noticed the owner finally broke down and bought new televisions, replacing the old tube and projection models he had with sleek flat screen units with much better pictures on which you can watch your favorite sports game. The routine is still the same - go to the counter and place your order, find a table to sit at if you can, and wait for them to deliver the pizza to your table. The service has improved over the years with the attendant asking if you want a box for leftovers. The value is on the low side, with a two topping large Hunk and two sodas costing $30.This is probably the most expensive pizza in town, but there is a reason for it.The food is the reason to go to Pantera's. Their pizzas are outstanding, especially the Hunk, containing the largest amount of toppings and cheese of any pizza in the area to my knowledge. The sauce is a bit on the acidic side, and if you want a sweet pizza sauce, you will be disappointed. But the taste grows on you as you make your way into the plentiful toppings. For pizza eaters, this is truly a gastronomical experience. But the thing that impressed me the most on our visit last night was the owner, Al. My wife and I moved from O'Fallon to Florida nine years ago, but when Al saw me at the counter ordering my pizza, he not only remembered me, but also what I ordered, citing the Hunk with the four different toppings that my wife and I always like. Truly a good businessman with an outstanding memory. We will return to Pantera's again before leaving town in a week. I highly recommend this pizza.

Pezzimenti's

Stopped in after being recommended by a friend. The address indicated 1789 Wentzville parkway. Not even close.Took about 20 minutes to figure out and locate.According to staff ownership has been aware but no action taken? The Homemade Italian sausage pizza was great. In house baked Italian desserts.Appears to great little family location.Servers and staff very friendly and concerned about our being happy with food. Now even though the restaurant is closing, vacuuming the rugs before customers leave , not encouraging! The location is somewhat off the beaten path.A more accessible and easily found location, given what appeared and tasted to be authentic Italian recipes, would make this a can't miss restaurant. The perfect little family owned and run Italian restaurant.I look forward to many more meals at Pezzimenti's!

Stefanina's Pizzeria

Reviewed By John S

On our annual trip to the St. Louis area, we always stop by Stef's with friends to get pizza and pasta lunches. This year, we got the usual excellent dishes and service with no complaints. I called ahead two days earlier to make sure they would have 20 lbs of provel cheese I could take with me and was told the cost would be $20.00 per 5 lb. block, an increase of $1.25 since last year, an increase that could be expected. But when I picked it up along with our luncheon check, the cost had risen to $25.00 per block, making it $5.00 per lb. instead of $4.00. When I asked my server why it had gone up in two days, she said the owner had to be called to find out what to charge and this was the price he quoted.I have two issues with this: first, I should have been charged what I was quoted the first time. The owner shouldn't change his mind about what he wants to charge on a whim. Second, an increase of $1.25 per 5 lb over a year's time is something to be expected but an increase of $6.25 is simply unacceptable. This will be the last time I get my cheese at Stefanina's.Since the meal was very good, I am still giving the restaurant a four star rating, down from five a year ago.
