I get to Maine only once a year and typically pick up my sandwiches at Jackson's Corner store in Lyman. Well I believe the business was sold in the last year and the new sandwich maker seems to have gone their own way. The sandwiches are not what they were last year or all the previous years I've gone there. So we are at the end of our glorious 2 weeks of vacation in our lakeside camp and we are preparing to close up the camp at the end of our yearly sojourn, when dinner came up. We needed to eat out or pick something up and we headed to Seafood Center. Well its closed on Tuesday and we were riding by J Brothers. Decided to try them out for an Italian sandwich. I ordered 2 large Italian cold-cut sandwiches. Loaded with veggies, oil and a little mayo. Loaded veggies includes green pepper, onions, tomatoes, some great dill pickle slices and black olive slices. Good amount of cold cut variety and cheese and a large is $8+, but they are very good. Big enough for two meals. We ate half a sandwich for dinner and the second for lunch the following day before heading to the airport. We will be back next year for sure to our new favorite sandwich place in Maine!

This was my first visit to Amato's in Kennebunk. I had previously been a customer at their Portland location on numerous occasions. My visit was on a Thursday evening at 6:00 PM. At the time I entered there was one family being waited on and no other customers in the place. I waited 20 minutes while that family's order was completed, and then placed my order. Over the next 45 minutes, 5 other customers came in and picked up their orders, which had obviously been phoned in. It became apparent that my mistake was not phoning my order in.There were 3 employees at the time and all of them were busy the entire time. There seemed to be a problem processing orders. I do not completely fault the employees. However, to walk into a (primarily) take out place and have to wait over an hour to get a simple order filled was disappointing. It is possible I caught them on a particularly bad night. (Note: My experiences at their Portland locations were very different - relatively fast service every time) If I choose Amato's Kennebunk location again I will definitely phone my order in and I will post another review.

Each day we make fresh dough for our delicious Pizza. Our crust is medium thickness and has a nice crunch to it. Our sauce's are made from scratch and has a full bodied tomato richness. We specialize in Pizza and Calzones, however offer plenty of appetize
We just wanted pizza and did not know our way around town, so saw Toppings Pizza and gave it a try. Were very happy we did, and went back later in the week for another lunch.Nice that they have single slices during lunchtime, but we went for a whole pie: great sauce, great crust, a nice lot of cheese and pepperoni... what more is there to say!?Clean tables, reasonable prices, and a huge blackboard on the wall, which clearly was an attraction for the kids who were there when we were. I would make a point to go back to Toppings Pizza when I am back in the area. Definitely would recommend!

Unassuming, a block off the main drag- but if you kayak or take a lobster boat tour-- it's right there in the same parking lot. Quick service- very tasty pizza. The kids loved it.

We like to stay in Kennebunk during the offseason when the crowds are gone and we have the place to ourselves. Some of the pizza restaurants are closed until Memorial Day. We like to get takeout pizza and eat it on the penthouse porch and watch the world below. This little gem is open every day of the week, year round. It is easy to find. The pizza has a nice puffy crust and the toppings are fresh and not overcooked. One 10" pizza with toppings is more than enough to feed two people. We did not try any of their pasta dinners, calzones, subs, wraps, sides, or salads yet. Maybe on our next visit to the area.

My fiance and I came here for a quick bite to eat after enjoying the scenic drive around the Kennebunkport area. The restaurant is small but very welcoming. You can order from the limited (only pizza & salads) but delicious menu at the counter before finding your seat. The small dining room is quite cozy and I bet it would be very relaxing on a cold winter night. We easily found a table even though it was a wonderful day in June. The owner was very friendly and apparently a great cook. The walls of his restaurants are adorned with pictures of the Bush family. Very interesting. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza to share. If you are a fan of spicy food then you will love this. The flavors aren't overwhelming and the fresh cheese balances out the hot sauce. I wish we lived closer to get this true New York style pizza more often.

Ok. I went here 3 months ago as a local on a couples outing. I have thought and thought about posting. At the end of the day , your voice is ALL you have. I went here hopeful to just eat good food and not cook. Our waiter , long hair told me to eat crumbs from the table he made from bread served. He told just me. Not my husband who is white , not our 2 white friends. Only me. Being transparent, this place has me me question why the â fâ we chose to move to KPBT ! Donât go here if your not ghostly white. You may be asked to eat crumbs. Wash dishes or clean the damn lace.
