Eaten here quite a few times, tried something different every time, and every time the food was lovely, the service was good too. Not pestered by staff but they are there when you need them, showed sport on the TV which my hubby liked as he could watch the football !

What do you say about Alex. Located towards the top of the Senegambia Service Road opposite the Craft Market. An outside terrace bar basically with a big TV inside usually on a sport channel. Popular with drop in drinkers and locals a like, a well known meet up point. Food from 9.00am breakfast to late evening. Assumes a more restaurant feel evenings when the table cloths come out. Probably the best range on food at the best prices anywhere in the area. Friendly and affable waiting staff on shift too numerous to list by name. Good internet connection, but note only one table with a mains charge point nearby.
Gambia's newest star serving excellent affordable food in a comfortable and relaxing setting a little away from the bustle of the Senegambia Strip. We serve English breakfast, lunch and dinner till late. Coming soon will be our sports bar and lounge and o
We tried most of the top ranked restaurants in Kololi (according to TA reviews) and some were very good indeed. We saw Sofa Nyama when we were coming out of Scala after an excellent Chateaubriand. Sofa Nyama is a new restaurant and has very few reviews but we thought we would try it the following night. It was a lovely place with good, attentive service and clean, well lit, modern toilets ( not always the case in The Gambia). Now to the food. Superb!! The flavours and presentation were worthy of a "MasterChef" finalist. We had a sharing platter of 3 different Gambian favourites and went back the next night and I had a steak special with chilli and noodles. My wife had a grilled lemon fish special. My only regret is that I didn't take a photo of the dishes to share with TripAdvisor readers. We shared a dessert and had a drink each. The bill came to less than 1500 dalasi (about £22). We have 2 nights left of our holiday. One night will be at Scala the other will be at Sofa Nyama.Thank you so much for your review - we will pass it on to the team who will be so pleased their effort are appreciated.

Lovely Dutch couple runs this cozy family business. You feel welcome straight away, and you can have a great conversation too if you want â¤ï¸ The food (OMG the FOOD) is so fresh and perfectly seasoned and they will ask to make sure everything is to your preference before making. You donât have to wait long or you can just call and go and pick it up when ready. I would dare to say it beats all the pizza places in Senegambia. Seriously. Give it a try!!! We are hooked

Italian food with original pizza cooked with wood oven. Two comfortable cool terrace for eating. An indoor lounge with television for football matches.
We visited this place in the hope of a good meal as were let down by another restaurant,we ordered and the drinks arrived fairly quickly, the wine was in smaller glasses than in other restaurants but ok.We waited 50 minutes for our meal when it arrived I was expecting a baked potato as offered but got sautéed potatoes chicken Kiev was a plain chicken with a cold sauce in a dish the salad was smothered in salad cream YUK.My husband ordered the the buttered lady fish with chips, the fish was incinerated and the chips raw, we complained to the waiter but nothing ,he then went into hiding and a waitress came came to collect the money we didnât pay the full amount, and there was no apology. The so called manager just sat there .Shame on you

Big place on the Kololi Road opposite the cash carry. Pretty inactive during the day time but evenings get lively with a band on most nights, varies as to style and quality music wise but always a lively crowd. Food fairly basic and a bit overpriced for this area if anything. Good reputation for dessers and sweet dishes.

After reading such great reviews, we invited some friends out for the evening saying that Trip Advisor reviews never lie..... Slow service, and not that gracious, no air conditioning, no cold bottled water, ran out of beer after 2 bottles, cutlery was dirty, toilets were shabby. The food..... burnt bases on the pizza, toppings not matching the menu when served, nothing outstanding, not even average.Very disappointed especially after reading such good reviews, and very embarrassed after suggesting we go there. There are far better places to eat locally, we would not recommend it.

Good food, nice setting especially at the street site, were you can watch the senegambia life. (Be early) Only disadvantage the many âmusicâ guys asking for money after theâve obscured the view and spoil the area with there music. Recomended cocktail:Mojito.
