Broadstairs is a coastal town on the Isle of Thanet in the Thanet district of east Kent, England, about 80 miles (130 km) east of London. It is part of the civil parish of Broadstairs and St Peter's, which includes St Peter's, and had a population in 2011 of about 25,000. Situated between Margate and Ramsgate, Broadstairs is one of Thanet's seaside resorts, known as the "jewel in Thanet's crown". The town's crest's Latin motto is Stella Maris ("Star of the Sea"). The name derives from a former flight of steps in the chalk cliff, which led from the sands up to the 11th-century shrine of St Mary on the cliff's summit.

I think I've highlighted the only disappointing thing about the pizza in the title of my review. The pizza itself was great, the toppings were great, the price was fantastic. My partner also enjoyed his pizza but agrees with me that his pizza sauce was that bland, it would have been better to leave it off the pizza altogether. If either of us liked BBQ sauce, we'd have opted for that, just to give the pizza base a bit more flavour. I liked the DealBot finding us a good deal (we paid about £19 when we should have been paying £35), because there's no way we'd have wanted to pay full price for that. Still, isn't the worst pizza we've had, but it certainly isn't the best. Good effort though.

At Pizza Hut Restaurants, freedom is our attitude. Our state of mind. It's being able to do your thing. It's about our famous Lunchtime Buffet, Ice Cream Factory and free Salad Bar. Days out with the kids and nights in on the sofa (we offer collection at
On a wet, wintry and windy night I Kent, we ended up at the Westwood Shopping Centre, looking for somewhere to eat - and chips were off the menu!We drove round, and saw the Pizza Hut, and decided that fitted the bill. My wife only eats small portions since her stomach op, and we thought we could find some menu item here to suit.We were greeted immediately on arrival by a smiling, friendly face. A group of parents and children were the only customers at the time, and were being "enthusiastic" but not overly noisy. Our hostess saw that we were in our 70's and, without being asked, directed us to a good table a little way away from that group. She was very open and helpful, and made positive suggestions about the menu choices that would be good for my wife. I also need gluten free, so expected to find something I could have.Service was swift, the food excellent, and the server attentive. The free salad bar and choice of desserts was also good, and easy to access. The whole experience, especially the attentive and helpful waitress, (receipt says her name was Deborash P), turned a wet and miserable night into a successful evening. Many thanks

Family friendly Italian restaurant. Outstanding true Italian Pasta and Pizza
After a look around the Westwood Cross shopping centre we decided on here as it had covered outside eating as it looked like rain and we had our dog. The only place to offer this. The rain held off until we had finished, started with some Hendricks gins and bruschetta followed by calzone pizzas. All very good. The service was good as well. The restaurant is very clean and very big. Would recommend.

Very pleasant restaurant (in a former incarnation best in Broadstairs) with great views over Viking Bay. Typical restaurant chain food, though. Good sized portions, OK starters, but main courses bland in the extreme - hardly a hint of garlic or olive oil, so a travesty of Italian cuisine. Pleasant service and reasonably priced. Perhaps we should have stuck to pizzas.

Our third visit last night, the staff are welcoming and professional. Service is prompt, but not rushed. My wife and I both had the Misto Mare for a starter, which consists of a very tasty presentation of crayfish, smoked salmon, prawns and toast. For the main course, we had fresh cod fillet with succulent, large mussels and also pasta with huge king prawns. We also had a side of spinach with chilli. All this excellent food accompanied by a bottle of chilled Pinot Grigio. The desert was a generous Tiramisu and Italian coffee. The restaurant has a great ambience and we will definitely be back.

No to get a latte thatâs hot these days rather than warm like many pls es do. Very happy, will go again if we are ever down this way again.
Where to eat British food in Broadstairs: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Once voted 5th best Italian restaurant in the UK by The Times national newspaper, Posllipo in Broadstairs most certainly has never lost its edge, and in my opinion, is the best Italian restaurant in the UK! Opening in 1994, the once rustic restaurant area has recently been given a more modern update. Initially you may fear that this transformation takes away the originality of this honest eatery; however, you cannot escape the authenticity of Naples, which is obvious from the moment you are seated. With the smell of garlic drifting along through the air on a buzz of conversation, it is clear to see that Posllipo is the restaurant of choice for the many seeking perfection on a Saturday night⦠I have found the food here impossible to beat when it comes to taste and options, and I have eaten in many restaurants around Italy! Quite a bold statement you may think? But this is an Italian restaurant that has worked incredibly hard to make its point and there are simply no imitations, Posllipo restaurants are an entity in their own right! Family-run, the owners of these restaurants have left nothing to chance either and as you thumb through the menu it is clearly apparent that a lot of thought has gone into the collation of only the very most desired dishes, as the website states, this is authentic Neapolitan cuisine with a modern twist... and I can confirm it is not to be underestimated! So successful within Kent, there are now two additional restaurants to choose from should you find yourself looking for the ultimate pasta dish in Canterbury or Faversham, Offering dishes with locally sourced ingredients and only using Buffalo mozzarella directly imported from Napoli (yes really!), making a choice may be a little tricky, so a second visit will most defiantly be in order⦠and a third, and a fourth! Choose from gourmet pizzas cooked in a handmade Neapolitan pizza oven (what else?!) to steak and pasta options. This menu will satisfy even the fussiest of eaters and includes vegetarian and vegan options. You'll also find daily specials available and if you time it right you may even be lucky enough to sample the linguine lobster, depending on the time of year of course. The fresh pasta dishes can, in my opinion, only be described as heavenly and the chefâs use of all things fish within some of these dishes is what makes the dining experience so phenomenal. The signature dish, Linguine Posllipo, is clearly a firm favourite with many that eat here and I can tell you it is nothing less than perfection, but donât just take my word for it, you need to try this one out for yourself!Lets pause in between courses for a minute to consider the wine options... Just like the selection of amazing dishes, Posllipo's wine list is packed with a huge variety of Italian wines. Fear not if you are looking to celebrate, you will find a selection of champagne on offer too. A bottle of Bollinger (in my opinion one of the smoothest options) will cost you around £55.00. I can guarantee that you'll find it almost impossible to select an average wine here, and just like the careful compilation of exquisite dishes, so too has great consideration been put into the collation of wines, ensuring only the best is on offer for the many that dine here. Choose from deep meaningful Tuscan reds to playful pink Prosecco bubbles produced in the Veneto region of Italy (a bottle of this will cost you around £25.00). Should you been dining on a budget, the house wines on offer are of an equally high standard and you will not feel you are making a cheap choice or be disappointed with your selection.I haven't yet mentioned the side dishes... In my opinion, no meal here is complete without side offerings of spinach, sauteed mushrooms, aubergine in tomato and basil and marinated courgettes... garlic and chilli, of course, come as standard! Whilst this may sound a little excessive, in the right company you will be forgiven and instructed immediately to share, after all, attempting all of these side dishes to yourself would surly only be accomplished by choosing not to eat for two days before! A three-course meal for two people, including three of my favourite side dishes and a bottle of pink Prosecco will set you back around £90.00 and a well-earned tip is additional at your discretion. Whenever I get the chance and whatever the occasion, Posillipo in Broadstairs is always there for me and is undoubtedly always my eatery of choice. The food is phenomenal, the wine is on point and the waiting staff really are from Naples! This is authenticity at its best! When the sun is shining, looking out across the coast, you may find yourself dreaming about the wonderful food the Amalfi Coast is so worldly renowned for... but the true reality is, you already found it; Neapolitan cuisine with a modern twist and it doesn't get any better than this... Buon Appetito!
