Their ingredients are just not the best. Certainly a great value for what you get if you use their Hot n ready deal
Great teamwork there - they seem to be helping each other all the time. It gets a bit loud sometimes, but they get it done. The tip jar by the register should be filled more often.
Don't judge - I come from a Sicilian family, so it's not unusual for us to have pizza on Christmas Eve. There were only three of us together this year, so we decided to stop in at Mod Pizza after church. The Battle Ground location is still pretty new, but we had been there one time previously and had been impressed. They did not disappoint. The staff were beyond gracious and welcoming. We love that you can get ANY toppings on your pizza for one low price, so we were each able to customize our order. The ingredients are all of the highest quality. We love a good wood fired pizza. (There's another wood fire pizza place in town that insists wood fire = burned pizza. Mod shows that that's a lie, as Mod knows how to cook their pizzas to perfection: crispy goodness without any char.) Many others had the same idea we did on Christmas Eve, as the place was hopping. There were many people taking out multiple pizzas, as well. We may have started a new Christmas Eve tradition. Thanks to Ryan and his great crew.

Rusty Grape Vineyard has a nice selection of small plates and is known for their pizza and macaroni, both done in wood ovens. There's a pretty patio where you can sit during nice days and enjoy the live music. They have generous pours of their wines and I like the atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you, so it's mostly self-serve. I had a plain pizza, which was fairly plain and would try something different next time. We ordered the bread sticks, which were warm, gooey, and served with marinara sauce. They were delicious and I would order them again. Someone at the table had the bread and cheese plate, which is perfect with a glass of wine. I would definitely go here again. It can get a bit crowded, and check their website for specials and events. They do movies on the lawn, great specials on Wednesdays, and live music. It's relaxing, and the owner's dog, comes around from table to table to check on you. If you want him to leave, just give him some crust and he'll be on his way to check on the next table.

Rocky's serves pizza-to-order, sandwiches, and pizza-sitting-on-the-warming-table. While we waited quite a while for our vegetarian pie for two (10 inches, "small", more than ample for two, and actually quite good), i got the sense that somebody had to run out to Safeway to get the spinach, accounting for the delay. A friend's taco salad arrived with no chips or salsa - not a good start; ample, once again, presuming you like iceberg lettuce. No doubt this is better than chain pizza, but i suppose you should not expect all that much in this location. so i strongly recommend you order a special pie and a copy of War and Peace to while away the hours until you are served. the salad bar would make the average Howard Johnson's look good, and if you want infrared pizza, then that's your choice.

Love this pizza spot and they have delivery too so that makes it nice if you get a late evening hunkering for pizza.
