what can I say don't go here it is only a carry out place to begin with and the pizza is terrible. the crust is like cardboard the sauce like ketchup and the cheese like plastic go down the road a couple miles and spend a couple more dollars at Domino's or Pizzahut.

I tried this Red Baron because it was recommended and the Red Baron I grew up near (West Covina) was always very good. I won't return. It was not clean. The tables were tacky. The counter help was very nice and helpful but the pizza was barely fair.

I haven't had Godfathers Pizza since I was a kid. So was very happy to find this location. Don't let the fact that it is at a truck stop gas station fool you. It is just as good as I remember. Great for grabbing a pizza on the go or hanging in truck stop.

No matter what I order it's always on point. Delivery drivers are always nice and courteous. Every type of pizza, bread and cinnamon sticks, very good, baked well. Great prices, they always have specials/coupons. I also recommend Domino's app. It's easy to earn a FREE PIZZA

So, to be clear, this isn't a five star review in terms of upscale restaurants, but it is a five star review in terms of finding food that was perfect for a hungry family on the road. We only stopped there because my kid needed to use a bathroom and the store across the street suggested it, so I ordered pizza because it felt wrong to just use their facilities without supporting their business. I'm SO glad I got the pizza! It was freshly made and delicious. It made the rest of Rt. 66 a delightful ride with happy kids... and my headache even went away (apparently I was hungry). There isn't seating and takeout was what we wanted anyway, but I was completely surprised that the pizza was so delicious. I would highly recommend stopping here for food on the road! Only drawback was no gluten-free crust option for celiac, but I really wasn't expecting that anyway. It was just a gem of a pizza place a thousand times better than any of the surrounding fast food options would have been. Definitely worth stopping in for anyone passing along this way who wants to eat!

Stopped by here on our way home from Las Vegas. The service was very good overall, the server was attentive and she made sure we had everything we might need. The pizza was between average and very good. The salad bar items were all fresh and very good overall. This place is nothing to write home about but I would recommend it if you are passing through the area and need to grab a decent meal.

The Route 66 Pizza Palace is right on main street in old Downtown Barstow, has plenty of parking. Large menu selection, and also a nice large salad bar, that you can include as well if desired. Nice decor on the inside that reference the Historic Route 66, which originally ran right in front of the restaurant. Nice to look at the old photo's on the walls, and some of the history. There is also an Arcade area for a number of games and such, for the kids id they desire. The staff was very friendly, and the food (pizza) was hot, and the salad bar was well stocked and had a wide selection of items. If traveling through the Barstow area, is worth the stop if you are in the mood for pizza. Also if you drive down the street about another mile or so, there are a number of Route 66 historic items, and items related to Route 66.

There aren't many recommended restaurants in Barstow but I'd list Oggi's as one of them. While pizza is prominent in their name, it's one of many options available. I had the lemon pepper tilapia and it was great. Add a nice selection of craft beers and what's not to like?
