Reassurance as to pre cleaning and telling us not to wash up and waste water as they sanitize between customers. The most famous course in the area has hosted the British Open 3 times in the last 30 years.
There is so much golf history at this wonderful club. One of the 3 Royals on the English Golf Coast around Liverpool/Blackpool and quite different from Hoylake and Birkdale. 200+ bunkers throughout the course and 17 of them on the 18th. Lytham is a seriously good golf course and one where you have to place the ball strategically to score well. Like so many of the courses on the Open rota, online bookings are easy and you are made very welcome by house staff and the pro shop. As an Aussie, you think about Adam Scott throwing away the Open at Lytham in the last 4 holes in 2012 and Seve's 2 wins in 1979 and 1988. Just a fabulous golfing experience on a links course where every hole is a gem.

Fairhaven Golf Club is renowned as one of the finest Championship courses in the North of England and 20 ladies from our Club in East Lancashire took advantage of playing this beautifully manicured course during a Ladies Open Team event. There are 365 bunkers on this course, one for every day of the year, and our team found plenty of them. I found the breakfast service very slow and my meal arrived it was a wrong order. Disappointing, particularly as it was so late, it had to be wrapped in foil to take on the course to be eaten during the game. I did wonder the girl serving me might be new to the post, so perhaps need to be more generous. The evening meal was very good and an excellent day was had by all. I would highly recommend a visit to this great course.

St. Annes Boats and Balls offers family fun on a man-made, two foot deep boating lake. We are open weekends and school holidays from 10-5 daily. This is weather dependant so please contact us if you are unsure. We have six seater pedalo boats, two seater canoes and offer you the chance to experience the latest craze of 'walking on water' in one of our giant inflatable waterballs.

What a great course! 3 of us went around in the sunshine and had a really good laugh. Really good value for the money and everybody respectful of waiting till the group in front had finished. Would definitely have another go when visiting Lytham, although always helps when you beat a keen golfer and your own son. ????

Really enjoyed a trip to St Anne’s Beach. The only tricky point here on busy days is parking; arrive early and bring coins. I’ll give the toilets the benefit of the doubt as everyone was doing their best to social distance which made the queues look HUGE. Nice clean sand, lots of space and a few nice shops/chip shops/ice cream vendors. Sea is a bit of a walk when the tide is out.
