Blown Away is a mobile outdoor experience company which specialises in beach based activities. which include Landyachting, Beach Kayaking, Stand up Paddle boarding, Surfing, Beach Olympics and many more. Action takes place on sandy beaches and shorelines around Scotland.
I took my kids (12 & 13 Boy & Girl) for a few experience days with the Blown away team, They had a couple of surf lessons and a Land Yachting session, we all thoroughly enjoyed both experiences and it was clear from the offset how good the day was going to be run given not only the professionalism of all the staff but the warm friendly welcome we received, my son really didn't want to surf but within the first 5 minutes he had changed his mind and now all I hear is "when can we go back....." Amazing experience from the guys and could thank you enough.

Elite Falconry has developed its facility in Fife, to hold the most diverse and exciting flying team of birds of prey in Scotland. Housed on a 400 acre farm, the facility is NOT open to the public. This means, when you book and come for your birds of prey experience day, you will be handling, and flying these fascinating birds, in a private group, without the distractions and disturbance caused by general public entry. Further than that, the farm, which we manage as a conservation reserve, provides us with all the different habitats, that allows you to fly each species of owl, hawk, falcon, kite, caracara, vulture and even mighty eagles, in the environment that they have evolved for. You see them at their very, and most natural best. There is no sterile flying from person to person in a field! Woodland species will fly with us around the trees and hedges, open country birds will be worked on an open hill to maximise lift and visibility. This is a genuine, exciting, hands on insight into the lives and abilities of natures avian apex predators!
From watching White tailed Sea Eagles soar to having a Harris Hawk land on your gloved mitt, Owls catching a giant worm and many more birds, this was a fabulous experience. Becs was informative and hilarious. Much recommended.

The Ecology Centre is situated to the East of Kinghorn Loch. Our site provides a wonderful place to spot wildlife such as swans, geese, grebes, buzzards & herons. A lovely place for a picnic or to start your walk around the loch. We also offer Environmental Education services on-site and in local schools across Fife, teaching children the importance of looking after our environment. The site is a real community asset, offering a variety of projects such as our Tool Shed that supports local people in refurbishing tools to send to the less fortunate as well as providing a space to come together and have a good chat, cup of tea and a biscuit!
I recently attended a training course over the weekend. The room was perfect for a group our size (just under 30), with excellent facilities. Clean, comfortable, warm, plentiful and fabulous lunch, especially the home made soups - and the windows opened to stave off that post meal time dip! Great that it was environmentally friendly too!

What can I say this is one of the best family run Fisheries in the East of scotland . With a well stocked loch full of Blues and Rainbows ,with a home population of brown trout . I was on the water today fishing catch and release and caught 4 fish and lost one with plenty of offers . The loch is also a magnet for wild life with many birds resident on the loch . The bothy is open for a retreat in inclement weather and there is always teas and coffees waiting for you if you just want a blether . There is always good local knowledge from the bailiff about what is catching fish and where to go .

An artificial lake along the A91. It’s a free growing area of trees and grass, and populated by various wild-fowls and even some fishes too. I did a circular path around the two halves of the lake, but it’s also possible to take a shortcut along the path that bisects the lake. It would probably take about 45 minutes to walk both the lakes or about half that if taking the shortcut. Much of the walk is through woodlands and nature reserve. On a dry sunny day, it's a great walk punctuated by views of the lake, tree lined paths and wildlife. Most of the paths are well maintained. It's been dry for a week, so the paths where easy to walk on as well. It’s a nice stopping point on the way to St. Andrews and there’s a free car park on the south side of the loch. Most of the wild fowl seem to congregate around car park where visitors feed them.

I really enjoyed going round the Kittocks. It has some amazing views and there are lots of risk and reward opportunities around the course. If you enjoy links golf then you will most likely enjoy playing here. For the older gent, an electric trolley can be helpful. Thanks to the golf team, a very enjoyable experience.
