First time in Healdsburg and was recommended by friends to visit Quivira. I totally love this place. It was a rather cold day when we arrived, so we opted to sit inside. They have a pretty big outdoor area and by the time we left, it was a little warmer and there were plenty outside soaking up the sun. The service was like no other. We had the privilege of having hospitably manager, Lynn Holty, pour our wines. She was lovely and so engaging. I have to say, I’ve been wine tasting so many times, mostly in Napa and Carmel. This was the first time I’ve visited a winery where every description of every wine was a dead match. I don’t even like Rose and Savignon Blanc and I bought two bottles of each. My friend and I were so excited with each tasting, that Lynn allowed us to try two others from their sister winery, La Follette Wines. Lucky for us, it was 30% that day so I ended up walking away with a case of wine, oh, and I became a wine club member. I can truly say this is probably one of the better wineries I’ve been to. Looking forward to sipping on this wine on my deck once the weather gets warmer. Oh, if you buy wine, the wine tasting fee is waived, so you may as well leave with at least one bottle....or a case like I did. :)

We were a group of 18 family members from the age of 6 to 80. A great day, boats are designed by the owner and are safe and sturdy. You can do it within 1 hour of stop for a picnic on the way. We did that and spent in total like 5 hours . Fun and wet experience!!

Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve

What a great find this was! We wanted a nice place to take a hike with the kids before it got too hot out and this was a great option. It is a beautiful example of the oak woodlands that used to cover all of this area before it was cleared for vineyards and subdivisions. We took about a 3 mile hike and it was beautiful and relaxing. Great spot and I'd definitely return when in the area again.
