Musee national de la Marine

The Musée national de la Marine is located inside the Brest castle, an impressive medieval fortress. This is the city's oldest monument. The museum's collection retraces 17 centuries of the history of Brest arsenal and ocean-going fleets.

This maritime museum is excellent and the measures taken for corona actually heightens as you’re constantly guided in the direction of the tour and plenty of space.

Brest’s Museum of Fine Arts Founded in post-war France, the museum of fine arts houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures and graphic arts (drawings and prints)... readily associated with the city’s maritime tradition. Since its opening in 1968, it has continued to enrich its collections and now presents a visit itinerary that showcases seascapes, history painting, the Symbolist movement, the Pont-Aven School and the Nabis.
