Stopped here for lunch and were very glad we did! Server was very attentive and funny and that food was excellent. Decent size portions that were reasonably priced!

We wanted a quick breakfast and decided to check out Los Robles Cafe since it was close to our hotel. The place is small with limited seating. We were not greeted when we arrived and we proceeded to look around for a table or waitress. We eventually were told to sit anywhere we could find a table. We were able to find a seat in the back portion of the restaurant. We patiently waited and waited while we observed 2 waitresses staring at us but did not approach our table nor bring menus. Finally an employee got the courage to approach us to tell us we had to move because this table was âreserved.â Fortunately by this time one table opened up and we were led to sit at a dirty table. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito and beverages. The food was fair but the green salsa gave me and the burrito life. No one ever checked on us nor brought the check. So if this is how you like to be treated when you dine out, check out this place for mediocre food.

This small place provides fantastic burritos, chips and drinks. The tortillas are made fresh and the portions are large. Be sure to order "Guacamole" and the staff will respond in chorus.

Our waitress was super nice and made sure everything tasted good. We had the Su Casa platter with quesadillas (we paid more to make them chicken), taquitos, flautas, and asada fries. I also ordered a Watermelon Margarita and boyfriend had beer. Everything was great except the chips. Although I ate most of them because the salsa was good, the chips tasted stale and hard :( This was our second time here and both experiences were good overall. Loved the platter and salsa. The Watermelon Margarita was rather strong but no complaints there. Would definitely go back!

Not a likely choice for "best of" before we left for a 2 week swing through coastal California, but in hindsight, Fish Gaucho earns our vote but best restaurant. Great selection of Tequila based cocktails and very sophisticated taste combinations on menu. Server was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Bravo!
Going thru Paso Robles around lunchtime, we wanted to avoid the overpriced and crowed restaurants of Paso. We drove just a little further north to San Miguel, a one street town. There were several restaurants listed in Trip Advisor, but we could only find one and it did not look like much. We had passed "The Ranch" on our way thru town and not finding the others places, decided to come back. It has a very rustic, western front and did not look like much. The server had just put out their specials for the day, Al Pastor taco, a burrito and something else. The place was dim and large, but there were several people inside, mostly locals. The menu is all mexican. The chips were warm and the salsa is a red pepper spicy sauce. It was outstanding! I ordered a carnitas burrito, without rice and beans. I am glad I did. The burrito was hugh. The carnitas was cooked perfectly and the green sauce in the burrito was excellent. I think this is one of the best burritos I have ever had. You can order it dry, which I did, or wet. My husband had the special, Al Pastor tacos. He got 2 tacos filled with just meat. It was seasoned perfectly, in red spicy sauce. The tacos came with rice and beans. It was excellent. We leaned they make all their own sauces and salsas on the premise. Their speciality is chili verde and it takes them 8 hours to cook it. They will not serve it the day it is cooked as they put it in the fridge overnight so that all the seasonings have a chance to blend together. Then it is ready the next day. Had we known this, we would have had this as chili verde is one of our favorites. During the night this is a night club so there is a stage and dance floor. The restrooms are large and very clean. There is a full bar and pool table. Seating is at tables or the bar. Since this is a night club so don't expect a lot of ambiance, it is hugh inside. like an airplane hanger, exposed ceiling with ventilation shafts showing. The decor is funky and bare bones. Fine for families for lunch. We will definitely stop here again when in the area.
Really good spot to grub at! The portions are goodand service was decent. Only reason i gave it a 4 star is....... it's in the middle of nowhere! San Miguel you have a nice little spot that takes care of your tummy!!
