Very typical-good chips and salas, friendly service. Typical one kind margarita. But that's is exactly what we were looking for that night. Prices are a little high for what it was but they have large portions. It is not gourmet, nor super authentic Mexican. Very authentic Mexican-American food. No complaints just didn't knock our socks off.
Oswego Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Oswego
We love Mexican food and this place was recommended so we tried it. Margaritas were decent. Have had better but these were OK. Spouse ordered chicken and steak mariachis. Large servings but steak was so tough it was almost impossible to,chew. Chicken was fine. I ordered the shrimp Quesadilla. Plenty of shrimp and it was tasty. Chips were excellent. Salsa lacked flavor and was more like thick catsup. This wasnât one of the better Mexican restaurants we had tried but was OK. Noise level was high so normal conversation was difficult.

Regardless of what I order, it is Always good. My favorite is the Burrito Bowl: brown rice, black beans, white beans, chicken, sauteed green peppers and red onions, mild salsa, corn, sour cream, cheese, lettuce. Top Notch lunch. The burrito is also very good but it packs A Lot of Carbs. Staff is wonderful. One time I was telling the manager how much I loved Chipotle and she comped by burrito!!

This is a great place for Mexican food that's fresh and reasonably priced. Nice condiment bar and the pickled carrots are delicious! Portions are ample and the margaritas look great although yet to have one. Carry out is available and specials are available during the week. Nice and clean, too!
We have gone to this place a few times and find that we are generally one of 2 to 3 customers in the place at 1 time. Usually no music going and just very stale place. The food is ok but we prefer going to another restaurant that does have the same name but not at all related to this place at all. We just like some more atmosphere and a little bit more noise so that we do not feel everyone around us (if there is anyone) can hear what we are talking about.

Taco Madre is small and can be crowded, but the food is delicious. Highly recommend the Mayan and Aztec tacos. Chips and salsa are brought to your table. Itâs not inexpensive, but the food is worth it.
