I stop often for take out. The food is always good and the staff generous. While I enjoy the gyros and beef empanadas, my favorite is the rice. It reminds me so much of my mother's Spanish rice, which I never mastered.The place is a bit cold for winter dining but pleasant in warm weather.

Many of the best Mexican restaurants we've patronized over the years have been tucked away in strip malls - and it is a pleasure to include La Escondita in that group. The food is fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. The standard margaritas are outstanding. Staff are uniformly friendly, pleasant, attentive and helpful. The decor is decidedly south of the border - bright, colorful and cheerful. Excellence abounds - with reasonable prices. We recommend La Escondido without reservation!

My wife and I visited El Tipico thinking we would get run of the mill Mexican food to tide us over till dinner. Boy were we surprised. Not only is the place well decorated but the food and service were great. I had a "Wet Burrito" with steak filling and it was prepared well including the mole sauce and added jalapeno peppers I requested. When paired with rice and refried beans it was all I could do to finish the meal. My wife had shrimp fajitas with rice and refried beans and she couldn't finish it all. The service was excellent even though the restaurant was crowded. My one complaint was the beverage options. You can bring your own wine or beer or select from a slim list of drinks they offer. I was surprised the unsweetened ice tea was in bottle form and not brewed there. It was a small price to pay for a truly tasty mexican meal. We hope to return soon with our own beverages.

Breakfast was hot and fresh! I had the steak breakfast tacos, lots of steak but needed a little bit more perhaps some onions or peppers. The eggs were perfectly cooked. My son loved the hot chocolate and his waffles. It was nice spot with friendly service.

First time eating here & it surely wonât be my last. This place is phenomenal! I highly recommend the âtostones con ropa viejaâ for your starter. Moderately priced, great, friendly service, authentic Latin cuisine & super clean. I would go back again & again & again. Our server Lourdes was wonderful & made my experience a great one. YOU GOTTA TRY THIS FOOD!!!

Although the reviews for El Coyote were pretty much positive, the strip mall location was unimpressive - and we almost decided to cancel our reservation when we arrived. Glad we did not, because El Coyote turned out to be terrific in every respect. We were greeted warmly when we arrived - and provided friendly and attentive service throughout our visit. El Coyote does not have a liquor license, but is pleased to provide BYOB assistance. We called before coming to find out that they do not make margaritas even if we provide the tequila. We brought wine; they opened the bottle and provided glasses. The food was outstanding. Aztec soup, made-to-order chimis and burritos were all excellent. Refried beans and rice were notably fresh and tasty. We took home what we couldn't finish - the portions are generous! (and just as good the next day!)There was only one other occupied table when we arrived for our 4:30 reservation, but people started rolling in about 5:00. Reservations are probably a good idea!Very nicely done, El Coyote....We'll be back!

Good reviews helped us find what we were craving tonight. Again, upon some recommendations found here, we ordered the Chicken Rancheros which was cheesy and covered with chorizo and the Tinga Chicken Chimichanga was huge and was delicious with a side of guacamole. The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty and added to the overall good meal. Large portions left us to full for dessert. Cool place and plenty of parking. Service was friendly and efficient.
