Stopped in for lunch recently. I used to be regular when I lived closer. I'd forgotten how much more flavorful the food is than most Mexican places in the vicinity. Service remains fast and efficient. My only quibble is that lunch portions are relatively small for the cost but I have a big appetite.
We've been enjoying the take-out food from Taco Time for a number of years. This is the antithesis of Taco Hell -- this is GOOD food. For instance, the chicken soft taco is huge, and comes with chicken breast meat, cheese, lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and your choice of a light ranch or any of their tasty salsas. The kid's meals are very nice, with your choice of a variety of entrees, a beverage (including milk or chocolate milk), a small order of their delicious Mexi-Fries, and a toy or dessert. All come packaged in a cute bag with activities for children. We're big fans of the taco meat, which is never greasy or lumpy, but always seems fresh and delicious. And speaking of fresh! I've never had anything but crisp, fresh, delicious vegetables. The lettuce is cut on-site and is fresh every day. The tomatoes are good. The salsa delicious, and there are 3 or 4 choices. And during the season, try their corn chowder! The restaurants are clean and the seating is good. And the Covington restaurant always hires good, cheerful people who make going there a pleasure.

Easy access from Maple Valley Highway either going to the mountain, or coming back to the city. Local joint with good décor, clean, friendly and attentive servers. The food comes fresh and hot. No charge for extras like jalapenos or extra lemons. Value is great. Better than the chains and no wait here. Try this...not disappointment !
Fajita Z's is a food truck offering a few Mexican entrees and sides. The business is based in Maple Valley, and keeps an irregular schedule at the "Four Corners" intersection in the parking lot of a gas station and convenience store. They also frequently go to other locations, so the only way to know ahead of time when they'll be in Maple Valley is to check their Facebook page.It would be nice if the owners would post the menu on Facebook or print a paper menu that you could take with you so that you could think about what to order before you get there, but there is no online or take-away menu available. The owner has a punch car program so you can earn a free meal on the tenth visit. On the positive side, they are using good ingredients and they get some great flavors (hints of lime help a lot). The fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, etc. can all be made with chicken or steak. However, I think the execution could be a little better. For example, if you order a burrito, it comes surrounded in foil and the tortilla gets that steamed quality that makes it gummy and leaves it stuck to your teeth.Everything is priced at about $9, although there is an option for a half order of the fajita dish. Add a side and/or a soft drink and you're paying double digits. This is pushing in the direction of what you might pay at a full service Mexican restaurant with table service, like the nearby El Caporal. But if you are in a hurry, and if you don't mind eating in your car or taking it back to work or home, and if you don't mind the prices, the flavors at Fajita Z's are very good.

Home of legendary burritos & iconic Baja fish taco
A newer location that just opened recently, so very nice and modern inside. Decent service, they tent to be a little understaffed. Good burritos, as usual for this chain.

I'm a chile relano fan, and theirs are good, but not the usual. Their batter is a little "eggie" for me. But portions are HUGE! So if you go, be prepared to take some home. You'll easily get two meals out of a dish. Lots of rice and beans - but the refried beans are very good. Their usual salsa has some heat - which I love! Margaritas are good. Servers are really on top of things.

First, my wife generally likes this place... People are very friendly, and generally she likes the food...On our last visit, we both ordered fajitas... They were so over seasoned that the entire plate of food was orange.... I'm pretty sure that the two bites I ate were the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten...
