his place is conveniently located in downtown Bellingham. We ended up sitting at the bar area and everyone that worked there was very friendly and the service was fast. I didn't realize until leaving that there is an upstairs with lots more seating than the downstairs area that is a little more private. They have seating downstairs, outside downstairs, and upstairs. The tacos are amazing! I had the roasted veggie gyro along with with a side of spiced black beans. The tacos are small, although it was only $7 for my part of the meal. The tacos definitely run on the small side so plan on getting at least two tacos to fill you up. The tacos and food in general is very flavorful, tasty, and of high quality. My partner got the carne asada taco and ended up getting another one because he loved it so much, along with a different taco that I can't remember the name of. They also have an extensive drink menu if you are planning on having a drink with your meal. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I am in the area.

This is a local favorite for all ages, especially the college crowd who come here for the cheap eats and plentiful portions.Their potato burrito is what they are famous for. Huge! Stuffed with beans, cheese and fried potatoes, you can order it with various other ingredients and when itâs time to eat that monster, donât forget to make a stop at the salsa bar where you can get their homemade salsas to smoother the burrito. Yum!Order at the counter and theyâll bring it out to you. Funky place with a tequila hang out in the back.

Went there for lunch and it was pretty good. We both really like pupusas as they're hard to find in the Vancouver area. You get two pupusas along with some cole slaw with each order and they were okay. Nothing special but nothing bad either. A bit disappointing as we thought with the authentic Hispanic food market next door, they'd be better.

Went here based on 3 separate recommendations from wife's friends and co-workers and they were more than correct. Came in later in the evening and were seated and served quickly. Our choices were made quickly, served hot and in generous proportions. Very tasty and good value for the money . The pre-meal chips and salsa were good too. Large beer list and even larger tequila list. We both enjoyed dinner and will definitely come back again.

Where New Mexico meets the Pacific Northwest, enjoy the earthy, warm flavors of the American Southwest. A local favorite, Pepper Sisters has been rocking the house since 1988, serving scratch-made, traditional and interpretive foods of this unique regiona
A very nice restaurant with bright southwestern appeal & very interesting food. I had the Blue Corn Rellenos which I very much enjoyed. My only wish was that it had been hot (as in temperature, not seasoning) - the cheese filling was very generous & almost chilled. I also enjoyed the sides of pinto beans & pisole. Iâd never had pisole before - very good!My husband had a fresh fish entree which he said was very good. It was served with a rice side, rather like a risotto, which I thought was excellent! The included sopapilla was excellent - I couldâve had a few more! The only thing I would not do again is order one of their margaritas - expensive & tasteless. Iâd stick with beer.A very pleasant restaurant & Iâm looking forward to trying other dishes!

Three of us went for dinner and the food was excellent. We each choose a different dish and sampled each otherâs dinner. This restaurant was directly across from our hotel. The margaritas were really tasty. We all enjoyed our food. Would definitely recommend El Agave to anyone who enjoys authentic Mexican cuisine.

We have frequented this restaurant for many years now and it's always been great. The servers are always delightful, helpful and attentive. The owners are always welcoming and pleased to see you. Right from the time you are served the warm taco chips and salsa (there is also mild salsa on request) until the time you leave, you feel satisfied.

Authentic Mexican restaurant. Affordable and fast cuisine. Friendly staff, casual atmosphere. Great for kids. Lunch specials. Beer, wine, margaritas. Catering. Private party room available.
While visiting family in Surrey the suggested heading to Mi Mexico for an authentic Mexican meal. So glad we took the trip. The restaurant was interesting in its decor and all the staff were awesome. Warm and welcoming and tolerant of my sad attempts at Spanish. The menu was huge and varied in the offerings. The food was well prepared and plentiful. It was flavorful as well as pleasing to the eye.Not sure anyone ever makes it to desert, we didn't, but I trust it would be tremendous as well.Everyone enjoyed our various choices and we had a few leftovers.Well worth the drive.Gracias.
