This is a diner, not a 5 star restaurant. But it has a certain character, clean and inviting. The waitress, Leesa, was very friendly, prompt and efficient. The cook, Robert, was skilled in his craft. I ate here every morning, and plan to on my return next month.
Great place to get a meal. We had a baked potato with buffalo chicken and blue cheese. It was huge and we split it between 2 people. So delicious. We also got fried okra and some spicy sauteed broccoli, also very delicious. The people are super friendly and helpful with the menu.
On a long weekend n Alpine Texas, we found this great little spot with outdoor seating and a great authentic Mexican menu. It's more than a food truck and they are working to get a restaurant space soon. But back the the food. The rice was tasty and not salty. The beans were home make with real flavor, not the usual bland beans. I have beef enchiladas with red sauce. The enchiladas were stacked like lasagna and red sauce was unbelievable. I thought it was a mole but was their standard sauce. It was sooooo good. Then I asked the waiter and learned the his mother's mole was better and would be served at the restaurant when they saved enough money. Hubby's quesadille was big and thick and delicious. If we were in the area, we would definitely eat there again.

Virtually across the street from the Hampton Inn. Building seemed a little run down and could use some fresh paint however, all the servers were pleasant and efficient. Everyone helping each other, nice to see! They only serve beer as an alcoholic choice, not a big deal for my husband and myself. Complimentary chips and salsa with refills. Salsa had a nice kick to it. We both ordered the chicken fajita burrito that came with a small side of chopped lettuce, green pepper, tomato with a light vinaigrette. The burrito was filled with grilled chopped chicken (nicely seasoned), lightly sautéed onions and green peppers. A nice sized burrito, we were both happily satisfied with the meal. Very reasonable prices too.

Amazing experience. We ended at this place on a Sunday evening in Alpine, not many choice, most of the restaurants are closed, the opened one are packed then no chance without reservation unless we want to line for ever.Los Jalapenos, along the railroad, was opened with just little patrons.Happy to find a place to eat we did not wonder why this miracle was almost empty. We entered, nobody to welcome or seat you, as we were puzzling then a lady told us to seat anywhere and that' it. We waited and waited and ... nothing happened until new customers came in and were told on the spot they could not be serve because of no food let. Then we started wondering what was going on and asked a single seated client if it was good.At his answer ; he had been sitting there for one hour and a half and the g=food was even not good, as we do not feel like experiencing like lab rats we just took off.Almost half an hour in this place without being taken care by the staff. Weird place, who can go there?

We ate here for lunch on Monday, January 14. We had just rolled into town and wanted something local. We weren't disappointed. We both had the Mexican cheeseburger. Unbelievable! It is a cheeseburger on a Tortilla with refried beans. Also came with homemade French fries. To die for!

I was disappointed with the food. I am Mexican and love Mexican food but this restaurant is a sub-par and over priced. I had tacos and they were greasy and small. Others in the party ordered different plates and they too were disappointed. My wife âs enchiladas were cool and my daughter âs chicken fried steak was over cooked. The rest of the party ordered hamburgers and they enjoyed them. They had one waitress and she was running from one table to another and had wait for her to take orders and bring out food before we could pay. When I paid with a credit card they added an adjustment fee (fee they pay the credit company) to my bill. It was not a good experience and when we visit my granddaughter this place will be no no for me.

And reasonable prices plus very generous portions. I had the Southwestern quesadilla and probably the best I've ever eaten. My wife loved her small nacho plate but so much food she had to have a "to go box".
