We stumbled on this place and were immediately attracted by the food on the plates of those already tucking in, followed by the reassurance that dishes were not only vegetarian or vegan: carnivores are welcome too. The plats du jour cost â¬7.50 so we feasted for less than any other place would have charged and enjoyed the warmth and solicitude of the owner and his team. A great find!

In the village square under the plane trees in this picturesque village at the foot of Ste Victoire, La Place is a rare find. Starters of organic heirloom tomatoes and a whole creamy burrata, and cold green lentil salad with ginger carrot purée and fresh onions, was perfect. With a bottle of crisp Mauvan white, even better. Main course of chicken Cesar salad (small, the big one is only for really hearty eaters) beautifully fresh and the chicken moist and crispy. Kids menu home made chicken nuggets and fries (shouldn't only be for kids it's so good). My tuna tataki crusted in sesame, seared on the outside and raw in the middle, was honestly the best tuna I've had in years. No room for dessert, but they are home made too. Friendly service. Menu at 24⬠or 28â¬, This place is worth a detour.

It didn't look anything "special" from outside and we had a lovely surprise with the italian food available from this little restaurantThe quality of ingredients and the care which went into the preparation of Gnocci + Pesto and Spaghetti Arabiata made both meals a real delight. This restaurant is near the only covered carpark we could find, a useful "plus" on sunny days. The town has a large market plus a separate area where "Santons" (the statuettes) are sold.

Our restaurant is located in an atypical and warm place in front of the Sainte Victoire mountain, in the heart of our mill and wine cellar. Our chefâs cooking is inventive and gastronomic with all the flavours of Provence : you will discover the products
Food very good value, service attentive.Terrace when it's too hot inside. Wine choice limited to the Winery production, but that makes it easier to choose, doesn't it ?Nothing to criticise really, there's also a shop to buy wine, olive oil from the property and other locla products (honey, what have you.)

Le Saffran is a delightful restaurant in the small village of Trets. Over the course of a week we actually ate here twice and both times were treated to well prepared and presented dishes. Our first visit was late on the night of the day we arrived from the U.S. and wanted something light and the menu had salads which fit the bill. We returned a few nights later and were once again treated to an excellent meal. The menu has a sufficient variety of entrees and the portions are generous. The waitresses are hardworking and helpful and dining outside was a treat. We highly recommend Le Safran if you in the area.
