Reviews on Mediterranean food in Sudan, Sudan. The Sudan or Sudan (/suːˈdæn, -ˈdɑːn/ ( listen); Arabic: السودان as-Sūdān) also known as North Sudan since South Sudan's independence and officially the Republic of the Sudan (Arabic: جمهورية السودان Jumhūriyyat as-Sūdān), is a country in Northern Africa. It is bordered by Egypt to the north, the Red Sea, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the east, South Sudan to the south, the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west and Libya to the northwest. It is the third largest country in Africa covering 1,886,068 square kilometres (728,215 sq mi). The White Nile flows through the country, emptying into Lake Nubia in the north, the largest manmade lake in the world. The River Nile divides the country into eastern and western halves. Before the Sudanese Civil War, South Sudan was part of Sudan, but it became independent in 2011.

I ate there multiple times, foul is always my first option. Their Kafta kabob is a plus. I like the fresh bread, though, that option is not available during slow hours. Location is great and accessible, especially the out doors. Good food, less costly.
The place serves very good grills,, it used to have the best Shawarma in town, but, not any more.. there quality has declined.. and in my opinion the best Shawarma nowadays in Syrian Castle, Khartoum.

Near Saudi Arabia Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan
I frequently have dinner in the nice garden of Universal café. It is a silent area, peaceful and fresh air by fans and water dispensers. In the internal space there is a good a/c temperature. The food is excellent, service is good and fast. Not large choice but excellent quality.Pastas, meat, ice cream and cakes are fantastic and genuine.

I loved every time I have been to Cedars... I tried almost all of their bbq menus and the mixed bbq platter is my favourite one. I like the atmosphere as well as the fresh juice that they offer. Overall Iâm impressed and would recommend fellow travellers to give it a go...

I love this place...lots of room to sit and dine. The hotel is above with super cool I interior but you have to pay US$ cash only. They serve Lebanese food and it is worth trying everything in the menu. Thisi is located just beside the Canadian Embassy.
