We had a brunch of 10 people and they were able to get us in fairly quickly, which was surprising. By the time we sat down though, brunch was over and they made us order from the lunch menu, which was disappointing. The lunch food was better than I anticipated it would be, but the service was a bit slow. There were many times we were out of orange juice for our bottomless mimosas.
Our extended family was in La Jolla on vacation and found Sicilia Bella online with a very rare perfect 5-Star review average. Having a Sicilian in our family, we had to check this out. We sure are glad we did! From the beginning, the owners Benedetto & Sidne were very welcoming and accommodating to our larger group, which also included children. Everything from the wine to the appetizers & main dishes were very delicious. The portions were very generous, but the food was too good to stop eating, even though our minds may have been telling us otherwise. The limited edition wine that Ben suggested as a pairing was phenomenal and very reasonably priced. Sidne had no problem with the special pasta concoctions the kids requested, and they were also very impressed with their delicious meals. Not only did we have an unforgettable meal, but we also made some new amazing friends, and we look forward to seeing them on our next trip out to Southern Cali. Mille Grazie & Ciao until next time, Benedetto & Sidne!

A contender for the best Greek restaurant in Southern California, For 28 years, Apollonia (formerly Aesop's Tables) has been the destination of choice for La Jollans with an appetite for Greek delicacies. The restaurant has a handsome outdoor patio where
This is a very good Greek bistro with good atmospherics and very good food. We liked the falafel plate, the spanokopita, mousaka, and other standards. The service is attentive, and in decent weather, pretty common in San Diego, there is patio seating. We came the last time because I belong to the birthday club and get a discount. All in all a very nice experience.

PIAZZA 1909 is located in the heart of La Jolla, in a historical cottage house built in 1909. Authentic Italian Restaurant with chef-owner from Milan. Fresh, homemade cuisine, Piazza 1909 blends traditional Italian cuisine to more contemporary unique dish
Made a last minute reservation, wasnât sure because of Good Friday, if it was going to be a zoo. Pleasantly surprised, definitely not packed, but enough people to make it interesting. We were seated immediately, greeted very warmly. Great service, attentive without being intrusive. We ordered a pizza, the bolognese, and the cinghiale app. All great! The cinghiale had mushrooms which was not listed on the menu. Not a fan of mushrooms. Would not have ordered it had I known. All in all, a great visit.

My wife and I returned to Osteria Romantica last week on Tuesday night, 1/2 price bottle of wine night. Service is always good. We sat outside on a patio. Perfect weather. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was quite good, bread-we ask for balsamic instead of the tomato sauce that normally is served with the bread, good, but not great, but my linguine di mare was very good, and reasonably priced.Always enjoyable, particularly on Tuesday night!

Last time we dined here, the whole experience including service and food was absolutely top notch. Tonight, food was ok, just ok - good enough to not complain but not good enough to say anything nice. Presentation was appalling. Hope itâs a âone offâ as this restaurant should go back to being amazing.
