This is the Cairns Italian restaurant, for lovers of fresh and fabulous Mediterranean cuisine. Combining traditional and innovative Italian ingredients and recipes, our tempting homestyle menu is complemented by a daily specials board. Villa, as itâs know
We had breakfast there. Coffees tasted like instant coffee. Budget croissant like the ones from Aldi. Bare acai bowl. Definitely overpriced. Actually I am wrong...authentic Italian touriststrap, like the ones in Roma including the corny 50s style music

We chose Ala Turka because my wife is Turkish and grew up with intimate knowledge of the food advertised here. She rarely gets to eat authentic cuisine and jumped at the chance to sample dishes from her home town. Alas she was disappointed, and whilst i understand and even appreciate her reasons i still gave Ala Turka 4 stars because my meal was enjoyable because i had no expectations apart from my own visits to Turkey and her mother's food.I agree that her food did not taste as it should, to me it tasted of a mild Vindaloo rather than Turkish. If, like me, you did not grow up with this sort of food then the difference is probably not going to be a problem.

After getting off the boat at 5 and having plans at 6:30, I needed to grab a quick and easy dinner on my way. I ordered the Lamb wrap (takeaway board) and it was delicious! $9 for a very decent sized âsouvlakiâ. Lots of meat and fresh salad but they couldâve put more chips in (if Iâm being picky). They only put 6-7 in so maybe decide if to do it or not!We promise to put more chips in next time byloz Glad to help you out on your busy afternoon.

Fabulous Breakfast and Lunch and special functions - with in and outdoor dining areas, fully licensed and air conditioned. Serving exclusively Sipping Duck local coffee with a great range of grab and go or relax and unwind.
Cafe Strada proved to be our favourite breakfast/brunch place while holidaying at Cairns. There are a lot of good things going for it, but it came down to the crepes: both the sweet ones as well as the savoury, they were all excellent and did well to set us up for the upcoming day. We truly enjoyed going back for more!If I have to point at negatives, I will say I found the coffee rather mediocre (but I am a certified coffee snob). There are better serious coffee establishments in the vicinity (but none that offer as good food). Service was rather slow though cheerful and courteous.

Bringing the joy of casual med dining to The Pier in Cairns, welcome to Piato! Piato, named after the Italian word for "plate", has a "big emphasis" on entrees and sharing good food with good friends and family! Three well respected hospitality veterans h
Based on the great reviews and close proximity to our hotel, we popped in to Piato for dinner. Great location, atmosphere and service. Food was fresh and delicious. The octopus was cooked perfectly in the Greek tradition â nice and soft. Loved the arancini balls and sardines, but the stand-out dish for us was the prawn saganaki â fantastically tasty. Enjoyed a side of Mediterranean vegetables too.*Note that sitting under the ceiling fan was uncomfortably too cool for us on this particular night, but unfortunately there wasnât alternative seating available nor are the fans individually controlled.Dear GardengirlThank you so much for your review we are happy that you enjoyed the Piato experience. As for our fans these belong to the centre and are not individually controlled but you have given us food for thought to take it up with centre management.Kind RegardsElie
