I discovered this place through my brother, a contractor who works in the south bay. When he offered his workers a free lunch his Hispanic workers chose this establishment and it has been a favorite of his ever since. The food is great and premium pints only cost $3.50 (at the time). Service is not one of their stronger traits but if you are self sufficient or just want to sit at the sports bar at the back of the restaurant, you will be pleased. The rough appearance of the place is deceiving, once you sit down it is as friendly as any fast food joint.

For so many years we have passed by this place right across from Sequoia High School. My husband wanted to try Peruvian food, and not knowing what to expect we entered Estampas. I was about to turn around to leave........the restaurant was dark, the decorations kind of kitschy and there was only one other couple in the whole place at 7:00pm. I am glad my husband convinced me to stay, because the food was delicious. We started with Anticuchos...wonderful. Then, my husband and I split the saltado de pollo. It also was delicious . There was so much food that we had to box up the leftovers. A great find!

There are several Taqueria El Grullense's in Redwood City; some food trucks; some small; and one on Woodside Road that is large. This is a walk to the counter place and order. The menu is very extensive; the food ample and well -prepared. Priced right. Not the best Mexican food in town, but will fill you happily up.

This restaurant has a small but interesting menu of Mexican flavored dishes. The service was good. The food was excellent. We will return. Prices are on the high side.

This is a small local taqueria & Mexican restaurant that became one of our "go to" places for fast, cheap food -- like those nights when you don't feel like cooking and you're too mentally tired to go to a nice restaurant and spend brain cells deciding on menu choices.Their super burritos are huge monsters. Our favorite dishes there are the carnitas super quesadilla, the carnitas super burrito, and their soft corn tortilla tacos (carnitas, carne asada). I usually ordered 2 ala cart tacos. Just meat with some meat-specific condiments and no rice or guacamole. They are pretty generous with the meat and since each taco comes with two corn tortillas, you can turn your two tacos into four easier to eat tacos. A really cheap meal, particularly since you get free chips and salsa. They have a self-serve chips and salsa bar. I really like their hot salsa. It probably comes out of a can rather than being made fresh in the kitchen. Even so, it's really hot and flavorful. Two cautions: 1. Generally, their food is a bit on the salty side. But since I like salt....2. This is a cash-only place.

We were going to a concert at the Fox Theater next door and chose this place for a quick but nice dinner... 5 of us had different dishes and I'm still lusting for more of the Camarones a la Diabla which was about the most perfect spin on seafood I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. And we're no strangers to this cuisine, eating at a new Mexican restaurant almost every week, our favorite food genre.

Very nice ambience for drinks and tapas. The Catena Malbec was very good. Our manhattan cocktails had a bitterness that was atypical. Tapa entrees were good: cerviche atun, empanadas de Argula, tostada de cangrejo y aguacate. This is an enjoyable venue for friendly gatherings.

Was seated outside for lunch and was very pleased. Lots of food options to choose from. I had the enchiladas and they were very tasty. Parking available directly across the street. There are lots of beverage selections available. Service was a little slow but was also careful not to disrupt conversations.
