Zambriâs was recommended to us by two chefs we know and the restaurant did not disappoint. Not the typical rustic Italian restaurant you might expect, however, the food and service are excellent. For starters we shared the House made bread & focaccia with a ramekin of olives, and then had the Zambriâs âCesareâ Salad and the arugula salad with Speck. Both salads were delicious, refined in flavour and dressed perfectly. For our mains, we had the Penne with Peas & Gorgonzola and the Orecchiette with House Made Sausage & Rapini & Broccoli Purée. My wifeâs Penne was âthe best she ever tastedâ and the Orecchiette was cooked to perfection with an outstanding sauce. All food was nicely presented, fresh and flavourful. We enjoyed the Sangiovese di Majo Norante, with our meal, and had the Chocolate Budino for dessert; do not miss out on this chocolate delight! All in all, a very satisfactory dinner and a wonderful evening, highly recommend.

We offer an unpretentious rustic Italian menu in an authentic Tuscan tradition, with French, Spanish, and Mediterranean elements added in for extra flavour, all prepared with a dedication to using fresh regional ingredients.
Hailey, our server, had a natural, enthusiastic spunkiness. She made our experience at Fiamo a really great one. The food was really really good and reasonable for us. Had the Saffron Risotto which included scallops and grilled bacon... the risotto was deliciously cheesey with a lovely sauce, and the Ravioli stuffed with butternut squash and goat cheese (ordered with an addition of scallops). Would give it all a 9/10. The espresso crême brulée was exceptional. ~ Despite a 30+ minute wait, which we were forewarned about and willing to do, it was worth it. Among the nicest meals we had during our week-long vacation on Vancouver Island.

Authentic Neapolitan Pizza. At Prima Strada, we're passionate for the fire-roasted pizzas born in Naples, Italy. We pay homage to our Italian roots with a commitment to simple, fresh ingredients on traditional wood-fired, thin crust pizza. Join us for woo
As a youth we would call these kind of pizzas "yuppie pizzas". Maybe they are more authentic Italian, but the crust was more like pita bread than what I've always thought of as pizza crust. They also have no gluten free crusts. We ordered (to take home) a Funghi Supremo--with different kinds of mushrooms. All three of us liked it--although it felt a bit small for the price. Mushrooms were nice. Not much cheese, though. Then we had a calzone---which is something I've been wanting to re-experience ever since trying one about 40 years ago at a restaurant in Ontario and never being able to dupicate the experience. The calzone's in most of the chain restaurants are awful. This one was excellent---came close to duplicating it. Very much liked the in house sausage (a touch spicy...but not too much so), and it was brimming with different kinds of cheese which tasted really fresh. Service was quick and friendly, and you get to watch them preparing it.Hi LarryTheRadioGuy, thanks for your detailed review! We're happy to hear that you loved your calzone, especially after waiting to experience something like it for so long! We serve traditional Neapolitan pizza, which is a classic, authentic Italian style with a thin crust and minimal, high-quality ingredients. It is quite different than thick, North American-style pizza crust, but we think it's pretty amazing. Glad you enjoyed both your PPS pizzas and hope to see you back again sometime. Cheers!

CARVED FROM LIFE IN LAUGHTER Welcome to Pagliacciâs! Pagliacciâs is one of those timeless places, born in passion, carved from life and bathed in laughter. From the foccacia bread and soup through the Broadway-style cheesecake, every morsel is made on the
A long established restaurant that has outgrown its present location. Decent food but they have crammed too many tables into a small location. Wait staff are continually bumping into seated customers. The noise level makes conversation difficult. Give it a miss when things are busy in downtown Victoria.Hi Timothy,Iâm very sorry if you didnât enjoy your experience with us. We are a packed and busy restaurant, we never try to hide this. There are plenty of restaurants with 6 feet of elbow room with small portions and high prices. Untimely the guests pay for the empty space both in the restaurant and on their plates. We have always chosen to stay full so we can offer us guests great value and limit wait times. If you want to avoid crowds I always suggest happy hour 3-5 of weekdays. We are less crowded and we have some great deals of drinks and bites. I hope there is a way I can bring you back in to give us another try. Northern Italian inspired cuisine presenting the bounty of the Pacific Northwest presented with elegance and creativity. With inventive and globally inspired cocktails from engaging hosts.
The restaurant was full each night we stayed at the hotel so we booked. It was easy to see why it is popular. The food was very well presented and flavoursome, the staff were friendly and the wine list was pretty good too. Thanks! Hopefully, we will see you next time you're in town.

Located in the historic area of downtown and steps from the Inner Harbour, Il Covo Trattoria is a memorable and unique Italian dining experience. Being a Trattoria, we're the perfect spot for any occasion where you can enjoy casual, rustic Italian cuisine
This restaurant is excellent. The staff is wonderful and the food is superb. Rarely do I see such a superb ensemble of staff catering to the clientele. It ranks in the upper tier of the top 5 restaurants I have eaten in worldwide. If you are in Victoria, make a reservation and indulge in some of the best dishes I have ever had the pleasure to indulge in. Totally worth the price which in my opinion is more than reasonable for the service you will receive. Great staff, beautiful atmosphere. I will remember the experience for years to come. I think there are only about 18 tables, so make a reservation. Mike/ SeattleHello Mike~ Thank you so very much for your incredible compliments and review! Brio's staff are proficient, attentive and personable but that hardly compensates for fare that lacks distinctiveness. For example, the "fish special" was a rockfish filet over risotto, rockfish being the cheapest staple of grocery store fish displays; the blue cheese and apple salad: a few small slivers of apple and two bits of blue cheese hidden among the greens. The sticky pudding was sinfully outstanding. Food was at the higher end of price range we had in three dinners. Wines pricey, but that's Victoria. Nothing bad but little very good, so that spells average to me.

Fantastic Caesar salid. Duck confit leg with lamb chops was outstanding. My wifes pasta was very good and authentic. This comes from a NYC Italian. The dessert was terrific, a decadent mixture of chocolates. Make reservations or be prepared to wait 30 - 60 minutes.
