Things to do in Morlaix

This bakery is by far the best and has to be tried! Every time we are in Morlaix (for work) we always head here for lunch. The sandwiches are amazing and for my husband who is a vegetarian there is are several veggie options. They do pizzas, burgers, baguette sandwiches (made with a variety of different breads), toasties and salads, all with a veggie option of each. They have monthly specials to change the menu. They have a wonderful selection of breads and the best baguettes ever. The cakes are pure heaven and the lunch meal deals are a good price. We have been visiting this bakery for over a year now and it's clear by how busy they are by how good they are. The staff are very friendly and will always offer to make another sandwich if any are sold out. Highly recommend this bakery if you wanted to eat in or take out. Open on Sundays too which is great!

At first sight this restaurant looked very small, having only a few tables just inside the door, but in the back several more tables were available. We found the place nice, clean and attractive. The waitress was very kind, and we did not have to wait long for the food. We ordered fish&chips the 'local style', and we got some very good fish with fresh vegetables and french fries. To go with it we had draft beer of regular brands, Heineken and Leffe. A very nice place we could come back to.

Warmly welcomed, and shown to a table.....the place is positively buzzing and obviously very popular with the locals......there is a lovely atmosphere, with tables smiling and chatting to each other, including us......We were welcomed by Olivier the patron, who asked us if we would prefer to speak in English (oops......we do try, but obviously not hard enough!!!!) so he compromised and told us he would speak English, and we could speak French.....truly a jovial happy man who made us feel part of the community. The menu is extensive, but my husband chose the goats cheese salad, which was enormous, and I am ashamed to say, I chose the spaghetti bolognaise which was also delicious, but equally enormous...needless to say, neither of us could finish our meal....but that didn't prevent us from being total pigs and having an ice cream......very plebeian, but suited us just fine.....Truly well worth a visit, and we will most certainly be returning every time we are returning to the Plymouth from Roscoff....Thank you to all the staff, and the chef....really good and VERY filling meal.

visited with my husband, for lunch whilst in Morlaix recently. He had moule frittes, I had pizza la Reine and both were excellent. My pizza was obviously done in a proper pizza oven and I even ate the crust (generally never happens), lovely tasty toppings too. My husband enjoyed his moules in a cream sauce and we washed it all down with a carafe of merlot at a very reasonable price. We even got to eat outside, it was a little chilly, and it rained for a couple of minutes, but hey, we are British and we were on holiday so it had to be done.Lovely lunch, friendly staff and good value, thoroughly recommended.

Stopping in the nice town of Morlaix, a lovely city, we looked for somewhere to have lunch, and settled for this charming restaurant. The waitress welcomed us and had us seated at a comfortable table. We had not made a reservation, so we were lucky to get the table. As we just wanted a quick lunch, we ordered a tuna salad, but it was actually a fully covered plate with lots of vegetables and tuna, all dressed up in a spiced dressing. It all tasted good, and we were absolutely satisfied. We had some white wine with the food, which was also good. So all in all a nice experience.

Great little sicilian restaurant with very friendly owner/waitress. 4 of us shared the best antipasta I have had in an italian. Great quality interesting food just kept coming. For mains I had the linguini marinara and all the seafood was fresh- including langoustines. Pudding was a truly brilliant tart .I cannot understand previous 'iffy' ratings. I am english and was welcomed warmly - -we found out that the owner speaks at least 4 languages including Rumanian. I cannot wait to go back and try the veal next time. Usually I think it gets very busy but only 2 other tables this night so a bit quiet apart from our table.
