Granted I haven't been here in about 5 years but me and my housemate used to visit this restaurant weekly when we lived in Montabaur for a year. We always used to take advantage of the lunch offer of a starter and a main and were never disappointed even though we used to change what we had there all the time. We always used to get fresh pizza dough as the bread with the starter which was always hot and delicious. The family who run the restaurant are so lovely and inviting and I often think of this place. Would definitely recommend!

Meine Tochter hat mir gestern von dort ein Döner-Sandwich mitgebracht. Leider war es eins der schlechteren Sorte: Brot total weich und zäh wie Gummi, Fleisch zum Teil noch halb roh und kaum gewürzt, Sauce undefinierbar. Den nächsten Döner werde ich wohl bei der Konkurrenz, die nur ein paar Häuser entfernt ist, kaufen.

Direkt am GroÃen Markt in Montabaur liegt das Eiscafe "Dolomiti". Angeboten wird eine Vielzahl von Eisbechern/Eisvariationen zu sehr moderaten Preisen (viele unter 5 â¬). Qualitativ und quantitativ ist absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Wir wurden trotz Massenandrang schnell und freundlich bedient. Einziges kleines Manko - man sitzt im Freien sehr eng. Wir hatten neben Getränken einen Bailey's Eisbecher für 4,50 ⬠und waren begeistert. Wir können das Eiscafe guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen.

As every other restaurant this time of year, also this Italian one took the opportunity to offer fresh Pfifferlinge (Cantharellus). But it was a good choice, and blended together well with tagliatelle and schnitzel of pork. This day in Montabaur was some sort of local music festival, with streets and restaurants crowded, contributing to the good atmosphere.

We had two very good starters and excellent pizza here. The service is very friendly. The only downside is they can't take credit cards reliably so my husband had to go out in the rain to find an ATM as their card machine wouldn't work! But the food is delicious.

I was in Montabaur for a short time for business purpose and I had a quick lunch over there. The margherita pizza was so delicous and the cashier was so helpful. I will definitely go there if I visit there one more time.
