We had dinner 4 times in our 12 day stay in montegordo. A great find, food fantastic, staff lovely and restaurant surrounding is done lovely. Very welcoming and a lovely service. Although it's busy restaurant you never feel you need to rush and nothing is too much trouble. If I go back to monte gordo I would definitely go back to eat here. I would highly recommend you pay this a visit .

Firstly the good news - our Portuguese waitress was delightful. We both ordered pizzas with extra olives. My wife is vegetarian and ordered a mushroom pizza. It had to go back as there was ham on it. Mine arrived with 5 olives for the supplement of 1.20⬠making each olive cost 24 cents! The pizzas were rather bland. When the bill came we were charged for two packets of bread sticks when we only ate one and 1.40⬠for each extra portion of olives when the menu clearly said 1.20â¬. All mistakes were rectified, but they should not have happened.

The âbestâ cheesy garlic bread followed by great wood-fired pizzas and tasty home cooked pasta. Only seats about 40 and most tables were reserved but well worth going to. Very reasonably priced, large and tasty portions along with friendly, happy and helpful staff in a very clean and relaxed environment. Highly recommend this place - weâll be going back for more! Thank you very much for your comment See you soon.Greats Cecilia serrano

Monte Gordo is in the Algarve, Portugal.
we went to this restaurant on our 2nd night, there was only a couple of other people there , we choose to eat inside, we had cheese and garlic bread to start , mains of beef in sauce, and octopus and shrimps, our grandson had pepperoni pizza, desert was pancakes with ice cream, we all found the meal very nice and the owner friendly and helpful , we haven't been back as we have been trying other places but would go again, the price wasn't bad , as we had beers / wine / milk shake / water, approx 80 euros

Really enjoyed lunch here. Daily menu determined by market ingredients. Small menu but each dish is âhome madeâ. Really great pasta and salad as you would expect. Definitely the place to eat on VRSA if you can get in. Small number of tables.Thank you for the review. Hope to have you with us soon again.

For us to enjoy a great dining experience we expect many things: a friendly welcome; authenticity; fresh local ingredients, cooked well; a chef passionate about his food; good wine; an ambience that encourages diners to relax and enjoy their meal; service that is professional and with empathy for the needs of customers. We were delighted to find all these things in four visits to Restaurante Ernesto over a period of three weeks. After just two months in Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Chef Ernesto and partner Anna have made an excellent start, following their move to the town from Rome. Their arrival is a welcome addition to the local restaurant scene and we look forward to dining with them again. Thank very much for all We'll be waiting for you soon
