This Island can only be reached via a VERY narrow yet well maintained bridge. I suggest that you take the turnoff opposite SPAR for easier more accessible public parking. Best times to visit the Island is out of season, January to February for lovely quiet beaches and swimming in the warm lagoon. Also very beautiful on misty mornings for some stunning pictures. The long stretched out beach also lends itself to long strolls. You can walk around the Island and there is lots of bird life to see.

Fantastic experience - great guide taking us through the history of SA apartheid and an ex prisoner guiding us to Mandela's former cell with an abundance of historical information....felt humbled to 'walk the long road to freedom' at the end of the tour.

Great visit to this seal colony. Enjoyable ride out in choppy sea. The seals obliged by doing lots of jumping and diving around the boat. Well worth a visit.

This is a fun boat trip ( ZAR 90 at Jan 2020) that no visitor to Hout Bay should miss. It is great to be out on the ocean and get the fresh air. Cheerful crew, very professional Don't miss it. Children around half price

What an awsome experience to visit with the quite ocean it made it alot of fun to snorkel the rocky sides and swimming for the little. Walking on the island was also relaxing.
