The website and Trip Advisor both indicate that this restaurant is open for lunch but when we arrived there on Thursday 2nd May 2019, it was permanently closed for lunch - they were running a private group event and told us that they no longer open for lunch. Past reviews have been positive so we were very disappointed. I wish they would update their web details.

Lovely to sit on the balcony overlooking the river. We went on Market day with interesting stalls and live music, which made for a lively atmosphere, and we bought a few things. The kids absolutely loved the Play area (and so did we!). We only saw the Pizza menu on our table and weren't given any others - so we ordered our pizza - and there-in lies the problem! Apparently on market days especially, everyone orders pizza and there is only 1 oven so you wait for a L-O-N-G time! It was Super busy but our drinks came relatively quickly, a couple of glitches on the bill were sorted out. The people next to us got pizza before us but came after us - suggest Table numbers?The bathrooms weren't bad but were overused and got smelly - it was impossible to open the windows wide as the crowds outside could then see. Suggest Extractor fans? Helpful manager gave us cushions for my very pregnant daughter. Staff friendly but busy and as to be expected on busy Public holidays and Market days you have to wait a while.Hi Ann , thanks for your positive review as well as giving us some pointers on your experience during your visit. We note the inconsistancies on our service levels but the main reasons for the The West side Craft market is for visitors to support the excibutors food stalls and limit use of our various menus available at Ramkiki . We also encourage visitors of the market then to make use of our Wilge deck , Farmhouse seating areas to sit down and enjoy the live music. However we do have a Sunday Buffet either on the Wilge deck or Poolbar which your missed out on.Clearly it seems like your party had some need to eat rather out of our kitchen which indicates to us that visitors to Ramkiki also want to support Ramkiki in their daily offering. We undertake to take this suggestions up with the West side Craft market organisers and improve on our Ramkiki service levels as per suggestions made in your review. Looking forward to host you soon again in our stunning venue.

Creative menu that will satisfy any foodie, making use of seasonal/local ingredients, presented beautifully by a chef who obviously takes pride in his work. He made a point of visiting our table when we arrived. We stayed at the hotel and liked the food so much we ate at the restaurant every night rather than venturing out. What a nice treat at Melvilleâs 27 Boxes.The Countess is certainly a big draw card in this center.With an extensive list of artisanal drinks, as well as interesting bistro type dishes, there truly is a delicious morsel for everyone.The plating and presentation is very creative and feels easy and relaxed. Amid this quirky cool space, have a small bite or a share board with interesting people.

Tasty breakfast very well prepared, excellent service, good coffee (will ask for extra large cup next time). Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended- but be sure to get there early. It is a smallish venue, and popular. Creamy mushrooms - to die for!

Salvation Cafe never disappoints - food and service always great. We waited minutes for a table at this very busy restaurant and were seated the trees . The restaurant is vibrant, busy, and extremely popular.The calamari was declared to be the best ever as were the burgers and my chicken Caesar salad was delicious. Great ingredients and great service. Fantastic lunch spot in jhb.

The menu was good, and the ambience was great, but the highlight of our lunch was really the Waitron. Such an absolute pleasure! He was knowledgeable and witty and had an amazing sense of humour. He also suggested beautiful dishes that were the highlight of our meal!
