We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant located near the station and Lawson. If you like garlic, my husband had the garlic ramen. They have traditional Japanese set menus and many side items. The traditional Japanese tables with tatami was great for our family. The owner was very kind to our toddler and gave her a little chair to sit on.English menu. Smoking. Local Beer.

We arrived in Nakanu after spending time in Kariuzawa birdwatching and after a drive on busy roads we were looking for something easy to eat tonight. We found Gusto on trip advisor and it was very close to our hotel, the Route Inn Hotel Nakanu. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed which is just what we wanted tonight. We speak no Japanese so it was great that the menu included pictures that we could point at - no need for Google translate tonight! The young staff were fantastic and professional. We both chose a chicken and pork dish with French fries which was great. There were also local dishes on the menu so something for everyone. We also ordered 2 beers which were served lovely and cold. We paid around Y3000 which we considered good value for money.
