Six thousand years ago, human footprints were left in the volcanic mud along the shores of Lake Managua. Preserved over centuries, these footprints can be seen at The Museum of Acahualinca in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. In addition to the footprints and impressive collections of pre-Colombian artifacts in the city's museums, Managua has much more to offer. The Tiscapa Lagoon Natural Reserve is a watery retreat within the city, with bars, shops, ziplines, and a canopy ride with views of downtown.

The pizza was not what we expected, although we liked the attention the waiter was polite, we liked the environment as well.

Great new cafe with a health oriented menu. Fresh new coffee being brewed up everyday and a great atmosphere...come try our food today!
NOTE: I went here when it had recently opened, so maybe it's improved since then. I went with friends after work and they were disappointed that there was no wine, only beer. There was poutine on the menu along with a black bean burger: being vegetarian, I'm always excited to try veggie options in Managua. The burger was pretty good, but it took longer than necessary (we were the only ones in the restaurant) and the poutine was so-so. My friends were disappointed with their meals: quality vs. price didn't pan out. Being next to Pacha Mamma Hostel and The Bunker Club, it will continue to do well along with the hipster vibe and decorations: a door turned into a table, mixed-styles of seats, naked bulb lighting. All of this said, I would give it another try.

I have been to Intermezzo del Bosque 5 times in the last few years. Very disappointed last Sunday for our anniversary. Waiter was very aloof. My wife's shrimp were watery (underneath the batter they were fried in). I had steak medallions with three sauces (one of the sauces was stone cold). Bread was hard/stale.Too bad cause the view and climate is great! But they need to get a top notch chef in there fast cause the food was really below standards for what was once considered a fine dining experience.See pictures here: http://goo.gl/L2S4o

Live the Cafe Las Flores Experience! Experience the Coffee of our Lands from the Fram to the Cup.
During our day trip to Nicaragua we stopped in Granada and wondered through the Central Park looking at the vendors booths for their wares. Our group was to meet at the Cafe Las Flores, so we showed up a little early to find that the Coffee and Treats were excellent. We had Coffee and the Carrot Cake muffin, I really donât need the calories but when in Granada...Anyway if you find yourself close by, stop in and partake in the food and atmosphere. The seating outside on the patio allows a great view of the horse carriages and park, plus all the kids trying to sell you the little things they make our of reeds or leaves. Note: they will try and put on the sad face and beg, if you do buy something, get ready for more to follow.Enjoy your trip

Great food and ambience, very cozy and beautiful artwork. The food was fantastic and the service was faster than many of the other restaurants in Managua. Loved the sauted mushroom appetizer and the shrimp was awesome. I do feel the need to eat here again before leaving...it was yummy!!!

Medium range prices, about $12 for a main dish. This is the ideal place for people who like to have a good steak in Nicaragua. Recommended.
