We are not fans of buffet meals but we are glad we tried the food at Lingela. We really appreciate fresh seafood and Lingela offers delicious prawns, calamari steaks and fish. The Indian dishes on offer were on point, tasty and beautifully spiced, served with all the accompaniments. The stir fry section seemed quite popular. I am very ambivalent about the grilled food. All the meats are cooked on the same grill. This is problematic if you don’t eat pork or beef. Dessert is very underwhelming. I found most dishes were some sort of mousse. I did try an eclair which I did not enjoy. Ice creams were very artificial tasting.Unfortunately the cheeses were a little dry and very limited. While the buffet does offer some superlative dishes, some were quite mediocre. With rising food costs, Lingela is still value for money.

We are passionate about coffee and food, we love serving it to people who love exploring flavors... we love the city and the people in it...

Savior’s was highly recommended to me, by the owner of a restaurant in Burnedale. I have now been to this café on six or seven occasions, and it has rapidly become a favourite haunt! I love sitting on the verandah, and enjoying the excellent service by all the waiters and waitresses. Lin has been particularly outstanding on several occasions. She is very helpful with recommendations, and is enthusiastic about the various choices on the menu. The food is always delicious, and I have to try to stop myself from ordering the thin, crispy pizzas every time we go there! The pasta dishes are also yummy, and the cappuccinos are splendid. The manager, Max, and his wife, are very friendly and welcoming, and they were particularly kind and helpful today, after their car guard foiled thieves from stealing my car.I was most impressed by the latter’s courage and quick thinking, and I was immensely grateful.Thank you for your kind words Mrs P, we are grateful to have met you, love having you in our place and also the amazing conversations... See you soon.

This is in the Suncoast Casino development, a is a very popular mall, packed with people every evening. There are multiple restaurants. We didn't like the complex, but it is popular in Durban because it is safe and secure. This branch of the Havana grill is quite large, and busy. We were well looked after by the waitress, who had a wryly amusing manner, and made us smile. I had the venison (Eland) which I always enjoy, my wife had a steak which was fine, but too big for her. Both were well cooked. Wine was good, if a slightly limiting choice. We used Uber to get there and back from our hotel.I would go there again ifI wanted that sort of food. It is a shame about the venue, but I understand the need for safety.
