This piece of Spain, just steps from The White House, will transport you to an elegant and royal atmosphere surrounded by friendly faces, an engaging menu and world-renowned wines. Taberna Del Alabardero opened its doors in 1989, becoming the first Spanis
This long-standing restaurant in DC is a great place to have authentic Spanish food with great service and great food. From very traditional to specialties all is terrific. The service is normally OK. It also offers, from time-to-time âthemeâ events like Flamenco nights and paellas days. Just a lot of fun at reasonable prices.

The food and the atmosphere here for a recent Sunday brunch with friends were amazing. The Shirlington Village has many good options, but I am glad we chose Palette 22 on this day. Our waiter was so friendly and efficient. The small plates allowed us to try many different items. A special thanks to our waiter for helping make it a wonderful experience for all of us. I can't remember his name, but he mentioned he was listening to the Beatles music chronologically, which I thought was cool.

Ris was a great discovery for me. The food was delicious. I ordered a salad and the lamb shank, which I enjoyed tremendously. The chicken liver pate for starters was really good, including and especially the crusty bread and thin crackers that came with it. The chocolate mousse dessert was incredible - smooth, light, just the right sweetness. The presentations were delightful all around. It's a sizable restaurant, but the layout gives the feeling of having your own smaller and more private area. The. noise level is low to quiet, even with plenty of people inside. The wine selection is also very good. All around a very good restaurant. I'll be back with family, friends and guests!

This location was near our hotel so we enjoyed brunch before heading out for the day. Enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere and menu options. Opted for the omelet with black beans and avocado and also recommend the sweet potato pancakes. Coffee was delicious and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Doyle â a glamourous, club like bar with a chic mid-century feel, designed by Martin Brudnizki, offers incredible panoramic views of Dupont Circle. The drinks list is built around the cocktail culture of the 1950âs and 1960âs, featuring short and strong c
I call this a great hotel bar since I was staying there. However, I recommend visiting if in the area. I met a few folks who were staying nearby but came to this place instead of the competition. Bar seating is limited but there is plenty of small tables around the Doyle. I had a little difficulty to get initial drinks both nights that I was there but, once served, service was good.Like any upscale DC bar, drink costs are not buck a beer. However, this is not a pounding drinks bar either. There are nice customers to strike up conversations so coming alone is not an issue.Dear oldstocks, Thank you for visiting us at Doyle Bar and for staying with us at The Dupont Circle Hotel. We hope you enjoyed our time with us and will stay with us again in the future. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the service at Doyle Bar but also want to offer our sincere apologies for any delay in service that you experienced. Thank you for recommending us as a great upscale DC bar, a great place to visit for a solo drink or to meet new people. We look forward to your next visit so we can craft you some more excellent cocktails. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to plan your next visit to Doyle Bar at [email protected] Regards,Nitin TitusFood and Beverage Manager

Since 1999, Chef Wiedmaier infuses his Belgian heritage into Marcel's elegant haute French flagship restaurant. Regularly topping the best-of-lists in the nation's capital, in 2011 and 2012, it was rated the top restaurant for food by Zagat as well as one
Enjoyed the 7 course tasting dinner, accompanied by two bottles from private cellar. Elegant and comfortable dining room was the perfect stage setting - staff were gracious, efficient and a well-orchestrated ballet of unobtrusive service. Everything, from the amuse bouche, the bread, and dessert and cookies were well done. What impressed me the most is that the management has confidence in its guests that they have plenty to talk about and don't need to be blasted with loud music to "enjoy" the party, or being rushed to "eat to the beat." Wish more restaurants would follow Marcel's lead.
