We have been using this for takeaway since it opened. Although expensive, it was quite nice. The time before the last the food was ok but definitely not the same quality it had been. We gave it one more try last weekend and the food was disgusting. Costing over 20 for 2 meals, my husband's chicken Korma had 4 very small pieces of meat in the standard takeaway container and the sauce was like cream coloured water. Very very bad. I will not be going here again and will travel the 8 miles to the next nearest instead.

Recommended by Michelin Guide 2015 - 2019 and one of only nine Indian restaurants in the country to be awarded a Bib Gourmand. Arguably the finest Indian food in the North of England. Haveli offers great Indian food prepared with only the freshest ingredi
Having visited this restaurant many time before, we were looking forward to our Saturday curry night at Haveli. God knows what has happened, but both the service and the food has gone down hill. Yes it was busy on arrival, but we had to prompt the waiter to ask if our table was ready. Yes it was, but the staff were just not tuned in. We opted for the sharing platter to start with which was tasty. The mains however were either totally over spiced or very bland. Husbands lamb madras left a residue on the tongue! Friends korma was not the normal burst of flavours, but really just cream. We asked for a top up of the two extremely small pots of rice, which was fine but at a cost of £5. So at the end of the meal we spoke to the waiter about our disappointing evening. He happily informed us that "everyone has mentioned how spicy the lamb is tonight"...............I think this place has got too big for its boots. Thinking it has a captive audience in Darras Hall, but they need to realise if their food and service are below par people will just go elsewhere. Gladly we do not live in Portland and are very lucky to have the UK's best casual indian restaurant on our doorstop (Dabawal).
Very good enjoyed every bite friendly service plenty space no license but you can bring your own alcohol or just enjoy soft drink. Desert menu is very interesting value of ice cream is very good.we will be back defenately :-)

First of all, this place does not accept Amex despite having a sticker in the window. Secondly, the Curry and kebab we ordered are definitely the blandest , tasteless things we have ever had the displeasure to buy. Myas next door is a better bet by far, not recommended at all.

Best takeaway in Morpeth. I have been coming to this takeaway establishment for years. I no longer live in Morpeth but when I visit my mum, around 3 times a year I get my favourite Indian food here. They do the most amazing tandoori chicken biriani with a veg curry, no longer on the menu but they always prepare it for me.

It was early evening and the restaurant was quiet. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. I will be back.
