The Makan Kitchen is our all day restaurant with an image of unconventional coffee house and will certainly not be a traditional buffet restaurant. The cuisine emphases on Malaysian food Icons, available from our interactive kitchens offering a vast range
I found the breakfast buffet spread very good as compared to some of the other hotels that I've stayed at in Melaka. I especially like the idea of providing fresh fruit/vegetable juices for breakfast. The must tries would be, the nasi lemak, roti canai, chapati and keema. The dishes offered at the several 'live' stations were also very good. I opted for the soup noodles which I found to be of very high standards.Food was topped up regularly and there was nothing left for wanting.Dear Wally-Singapore,, Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience. I am happy to see that you enjoyed your breakfast with us and had a wonderful experience. Rest ensure message will convey to the team for your compliment and continued deliver exceptional service at all time to everyone.I noted your recommendation on our few dishes especially on our Nasi Lemak and Indian Dishes. Glad to hear that you like our idea on fresh juices counter too. Will keep a same high standard at all time.Thank you for your valued feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to Makan Kitchen at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka again soon. Sincerely, Ihsan Bahri Food & Beverage Manager

Dropped by for dinner. Had pizzas, burgers steak and pasta. Heard about the great Indian cuisine but did not give it a try. Overall the food was alright and as expected. Our total bill came up to RM400+ for 4 adults and 4 children. Not too bad as we had a beer tower as well. Next time we come back I will try the Indian dishes.

I am a self proclaimed dosa expert and the dosas here are excellent - plain, ghee roast, rava are all outstanding with excellent sambhars and chutneys. They also may have meat sambhars available. I had their dosas everyday when i was in melaka. Also they have the other classic south indian fare including idlis, appam, vadai, chapati, poori, upma, pongal, and idiapam( rice noodle) .They have a very good thali lunch as well including options for veg and non- veg meals. Their fish and chicken curries are very good. They also have a few malay dishes including roti and assortment of mee dishes.Highly recommend this place for awesome and inexpensive south indian food.

We came here based on TripAdvisor reviews expecting tasty authentic Indian food. It also happened to be Valentines day so were hoping to have a good dining experience. But..We arrived the place was empty which was a slight concern. We therefore ordered the Paneer to start and some bottled water. We thought based on this we would order further plates. The food arrived within seconds, the smallest plate you have ever seen with a glass of water. We had said we wanted to share the starter but it came with one plate. The glass of water was sold to us as being free, they actually didn't have bottled water. The Paneer was tasteless and oily, despite claims of being healthy Ayurvedic cuisine. The staff were too busy on the phone to even care that we ordered the bill within seconds and left most the food! As for being better than food in India or like food in India. We have just been to India and this has not been our experience. We paid and left to go to another restaurant.

This is a south indian restaurant I stumbled across in the Little India district of Melaka. I love south indian vegetarian food and this was one of the best. I spoke with the manager afterwards and he gave me a card as my cousin who lives in singapore is
Walk-able distance to the Stadthuys, Christ Church, River Cruise, Clock Tower,... you are the at the most central location of Melaka in no time. Can't get any better TamilNadu food in the proximity and is worth the money.

We had breakfast there. Good traditional Indian breakfast available such as Dosa, idli, Paal Appam and even Nasi Lemak. Infact the Nasi Lemak was quite good. They serve good instant coffee but I didn't try their normal coffee. May be next time. This place really deserve a next visit. That night I went back to take away some roti chanai which looked really good in the morning but I had no place for it. The roti chanai was good. The wait staff are very friendly. The seem to know their regular customers. They greet them very cheerfully.

I would say that their naan and tandoori are superb and iâm not exaggerating that their tandoori probably one of the best in Malaysia. It just that it is quite hard to get a table due to numbers of people coming. Their service is very friendly though.
