I had a hankering for good Indian food in the Jessup Maryland area and searched Trip Advisor. This gem came up so I decided to order take out - I could not be more pleased. Fast online delivery and an extensive menu. I ordered the Meat Samosas - generous sized portions (2) of deep fried pastry filled with mildly spiced lamb and peas. The Chicken Makahni was a very rich and tasty cream sauce with a mild spice and heat and bite sized pieces of chicken. The garlic naan was a delicate oven baked bread brushed with buttery garlic. All items were the perfect temperature when I returned to my hotel room to eat - 10 minutes away. Staff was very welcoming and quick to provide my order. I'll definitely return when I'm back in this area.

When in all-day meetings with colleagues, Gateway Pizza offered a wide variety to satisfy a diverse group of tastes. Three of us ordered Indian dishes which were very good. Medium spice actually meant medium spice, which is often not the case with Indian. I had chicken jalfrezi which had great flavor a nice heat and interesting variety of vegetables (though a whole baby carrot was a little off putting- must have slipped in because the rest of the carrots in the dish were sliced). I liked the food a lot but was more impressed that my two Indian colleagues gave it their stamp of approval (they had butter chicken and ground chicken kebabs and we all shared). Samosas also tasty. Other orders that seemed to satisfy were wings, jalapeño poppers and subs. We didn't actually have pizza, so I cannot speak to that. I was impressed that someplace could make that kind a variety of food and have all of it taste good. We ordered online and had it delivered. It took about 45 min.

Spice n Curry is a very small Indian restaurant in, of all places, Elkridge, MD. Sparse decor, but that is not any indication of their food or service, both of which are excellent. Service is especially good, but it takes awhile to get the food - it is not a fast food place and it is worth the wait. Portions are generous.I am no Indian food expert, but all I can tell you is that both me and my wife have enjoyed both of our recent visits. I have had each of their luncheon and weekend special Thali dishes. Myself once with meat and once vegetarian - both excellent. My wife has had a goat dish and the meat Thai and she rates them both excellent.Their Madras coffee is very good - milky and comforting. Also their mango lassi is very good - much more thick than others we have had, and very sweet, but really very good. My wife and I have eaten in Indian restaurants in London, Paris, Scotland and the U.S. and while each one of them is somewhat different, we love Indian cuisine and Spice n Curry easily holds its own - in our opinion. While "Spicy" is part of its name, the hot part of spicy is, I would say, muted. I am positive that, if you want a more spicy meal, they would accommodate you. And, they do have a Vindaloo item on the menu. This is not a 4-star experience, so if you are looking for that, go to New York or London or Paris and pay 10 times as much. It is simply an excellent place to eat - food, price and service combined.I have to add a qualifying comment - I only rated the food 4 stars for one reason. If Trip Advisor had 1/2 star steps, I would have rated it 4 1/2 stars. We have eaten in some thrillingly wonderful places in our travels and my rating has to take into consideration those places. If this were the only Indian restaurant at which I had had the pleasure of eating, I would have rated the food 5 stars. Having said that, I have been strikingly surprised that this tiny, few-employee, simple restaurant, located in a strip mall across from a Costco and behind a 7-Eleven, is so pleasing and tasty. I hesitate to recommend it this highly, solely for selfish reasons -- I want to be able to get in to eat whenever we are in the area, rather than be turned away because its clientele grows too large.Closed Mondays; other days, 11:30am-2:30pm and 5:30pm-9:30pm. I ordered chicken tikka masala medium spicy and peshwari naan for carry out. It took about 30 minutes and was worth the wait. The chicken tikka Malala was really quite spicy and was a large portion, and it came with rice. The naan was very good and was filled with raisins and sweet spice. I definitely want to try their lunch buffet.

My wife picked this restaurant for her special birthday dinner. On arrival I mentioned it was her birthday and asked for a quiet table and I was given many choices. Dinner food and service was beyond exceptional and this restaurant is gorgeous. When we asked for the bill my wife was surprised to receive a wonderful piece of cake and a glass of bubbly for her birthday free. I would recommend this restaurant as one of the best I have ever been to because of the food quality and the level of service.
