Incompetent staff who overcharged me by 200 Euros, bad food, very poor service.
Reviewed By antwnThe staff here are incompetent- the waitress charged us twice for two drinks and added on the drinks for another table. The restaurant took over an hour to bring us the wine menu. The bread was stale because it was cut hours before. My wife’s meal had eggshells in it. Upon checkout we were overcharged because of the mistakes by the waitress and the receptionist added on a meal that somebody else had had. In total they took 350 € from my bank account when it should have been 141 €. They then kept me waiting for an hour whilst trying to refund the money. Because they are so incompetent- they do not know how to do a refund on the POS machine. They then lied and said the money had been refunded. The next day they said that they could not refund the money because it was a foreign card - another lie. There are much better and cheaper hotels in Manzanares that also do better food and electric car charging.

Reviewed By camper11-11small hotel by the main road within on the outskirts of Manzanares. Suitable car park. Check in easy with friendly non English speaking staff. Rooms suitable for an overnighter, quiet and comfy, but needed a lick of paint. Not sure about disabled access, didn't look but I'm sure they would have it. However stairs to foyer, stairs to rooms, stairs to restaurant etc. Decent restaurant with fairly good choice of food at a reasonable price.

Reviewed By HungeryoxThe hotel was spotlessly clean and the bedroom was large! The down side was the food . The evening meal was very very poor and the service not good , food more or less thrown at you !! The staff were not happy !! When I got the bill it included a charge for breakfast, when I showed them my booking confirmation which included breakfast they still argued that it did not include breakfast, eventually they gave in !! Will not be returning.

Reviewed By 468dietmarkLovely and quite setting. The castle has been kept in its ordinal state and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms and facilities were clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also ample and enjoyable. Great for the Traveller who wants something different. Loved it.

El Hotel El Cruce, ubicado a 1 km de Manzanares, está bien comunicado con la autopista A4. Se halla en medio de unos jardines y ofrece una piscina al aire libre de temporada, un restaurante y conexión Wi-Fi gratuita. Las habitaciones del Hotel El Cruce presentan una decoración sencilla y disponen de aire acondicionado, TV y baño privado. El restaurante del Cruce sirve desayuno continental y platos tradicionales de Castilla La Mancha para cenar. También hay una cafetería de autoservicio. Los parques naturales de Lagunas de Ruidera y Tablas De Daimiel se hallan a menos de 1 hora en coche del hotel. Ciudad Real está a 45 minutos en coche. Close to the motorway
Reviewed By homekey24Very good location. My wife is disabled and they were very helpful in finding a room with easy wheelchair access. We arrived very late on a trip between Portugal and Barcelona but the staff on duty were excellent. Rooms are large, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price and was very basic, only 1 croissant between 4 of us but the staff were very willing to help and arranged for us to be able to take away something else - along with the croissant and a drink. Other food was available. The location photos are a bit misleading but it is a good hotel with good facilities - and cheap! Cost 45 euros a room for one night and is a handy stop on a long journey. One recommendation - do try to place it on a map, I thought I had it in my head but actually stumbled across the hotel after 15 minutes of searching in teh dark and rain. Overall a good experience and would recommend for a stop off.

A fabulous roadside stopover
Reviewed By JohnMackeI will be the first to admit that we hadn't realised the motel was so close to the motorway. However, after a long drive up from Cadiz on the way to Tarragona, it made the motel easy to find The rooms were clean and comfortable, with TV, shower, hairdryer etc. The pool in the garden behind the motel was a real gem. After long drive in the heat of the Spanish summer, this tranquil oasis was just what we needed. Floating in the pool, surrounded by neatly manicured lawns, it was possible to forget you were beside a busy highway The restaurant only offered a fixed price 'menu del dia'. There were just five choices of starter and min courses. Between the six of us we managed to sample all of them. Each one was delicious and at 11 euro for three courses a bargain. Breakfast was included an again the choice limited, but still delicious. Toast, cheese, ham, and jam with coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. If you are heading through Central Spain and need to somewhere to stop and recharge your batteries, this unassuming motel is ideal.

Reviewed By John LWe were staying at the Parador Hoteland found this restaurant close to the Hotel, behind the petrol station. They seved a menu del dia in the evening with a good choice and which included wine . Just the place when on a budget.

Reviewed By FirhouseWe had been travelling with a youngster from before Valencia and had been hoping to get the distance of Valdepeñas, but decided to knock the driving on the head when we saw this place - before the little fella got out of hand. We had absolutely no aspirations for it other than a comfortable bed for the night, and if that´s what you want, you´ll not be disappointed. I have to congratulate the staff though for being so flexible, friendly and pleasant. We had been hoping to find a pension or other motel where we could reheat some grub we´d brought in the car, but they agreed to reheat it for us and let us eat in the restaurant. We bought a salad and drinks to make it complete. Read some of the other reviews for comments on the quality of the rooms - they´re quite accurate - but the 11am checkout was great for us as we could sleep in and take it easy the next morning. I would use this place as a stopover for the night if you are heading either north or south on the immediately adjacent A4 motorway. A problem we encountered was carparking - the carpark was so full with cars, lorries (and two brand new, atrociously parked SUVs), that we felt we were taking a chance parking our car in the yard of the empty business next door. I wanted to get up and move the car during the night if there was space, but didn´t wake up in the end. The car was okay after all.
