A family-friendly camping site on the edge of the Belgian Ardennes. Hohenbusch is a family business, which was started in 1977 by pioneers originally from North Holland, the Netherlands; Wim and Willy Bruin, together with their at that time still small children.
Passed by in August '20, the camping is built-up in terrasses enabling all to enjoy the great afternoon sun. For campers there are 2 different lot-sizes each with individual electricity and water. The sanitary building was super clean, the crew were very friendly and helpfull. Activity-wise this is a great camping if you love walking or biking. Not far from the camping (walking distance) there is an adventure center and bowling-place. If you are looking for a restaurant, St. Vith is not far away providing great restaurant-choices. Will certainly return.

The hotel was incredibly clean and very cosy. The breakfast was lovely, and the service was friendly. The bed was comfy. Views from the room were amazing. There are no restaurants or pubs nearby, so a drive is required if you do not want to eat in the hotel.

Hotel Ulftaler Schenke has new owners since beginning of February 2019. In the months to come smaller or bigger changes will be rolled out in response to many reviews we read. Things that will definitely not be changed are: - the great location in the shade of the Burg-Reuland Castle ruins - the cozy terrace near the bar - the quiet surroundings - the accommodations for horseback riders, cyclists, hikers and bikers - the flow of the Ulf
I have stayed here on a yearly basis for the last decade or so. This is a basic hotel with budget pricing. The best option is to take the halfboard formula for a midweek. The rooms are located in two separate buildings. I have stayed mostly in the separate white building at the end, given that we wanted family rooms. These rooms have a double bed and twin beds in an open mezzanine for the children. The staircase to this mezzanine is quite uncomfortable so not for small children, although they could sleep near the double bed as the room is a good size. The bathroom is basic with shower (curtains) and a manual heater only. The other and newer rooms are in a building closer to the reception and restaurant building, although you still need to go out to get to your room. Breakfast is quite nice for such a small hotel, while the three course dinner is copious but not very refined. The lady of the house speaks German, French, Dutch and English. Although staff are not overly friendly, they are quite helpful if you ask.

The terrace looked nice so we wanted to have some lunch. Inside it was quite crowded but on the terrace there was enough space. After waiting 10 minutes we went in to ask if we could order something. That was not possible because it was full, and so was the kitchen. It would have been much more polite if they just mentioned that instead of letting us wait and find out ourselves.

We booked the Chanel room as a stopover from Austria to the channel ports. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. The room had a separate area for the children giving privacy for all and meaning that we did not have to retire at the same time. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. Good breakfast choices including home made bread and jam. Also a choice of bottled Belgian beers from the fridge, charged separately but reasonably. Very welcome after a long drive! We didn't use wifi etc. The B@B is well signposted from the motorway and in a very rural area- no light pollution! While we had already eaten en route, there looked to be several places to eat nearby.

In the proximity of the town Sankt-Vith, you will find the family business - that since 1977 has been giving many people an unforgettable holiday. Am Hohenbusch has beautiful, spacious apartments, a tavern with a large cozy terrace, where you can enjoy a drink or a delicious ice cream during the day and in the evening. This delicious holiday resort is near the beautiful Ardennes forest and between the beautiful villages of Sankt-Vith and Burg-Reuland. So, you may enjoy a nice walk in the beautiful nature or in the surrounding villages.
Just used the restaurant, they have a great selection of easy food, with a great price/quality ratio. I've found the best burgers in years here and they can be customised. The staff speaks multiple languages and is very friendly. The restaurant is clean and Facilities like toilets are very clean and well. Maintained! A good choice for a pitstop!
