We stayed here because we were visiting family in a nearby town and this hotel had WIFI plus A/C. What was NOT mentioned was that it did NOT have a Lift to the upper floors. We are older 60+ travelers and the manager (a 40 year old male) on duty was unpleasant when I mentioned we'd expected a lift, and so he offered NO help taking our 2 bags upstairs (or down again in the morning!). We managed to drag them OK. The room was very small with a double bed; no real room to open 2 bags so we took turns. The TV was high up on the wall for space; the bath was OK for a 2 star hotel and the bed was adequate but nothing more. The A/C was set at 16 degrees so we had to turn it off for 2 hours to be comfortable. Oh yes, the "hotel parking" was an extra price too - again not advertised as such or we missed that detail... Fortunately there was a public lot nearby and we left by 9:30AM so no one gave us a ticket. We did enjoy our friends' good French dinner and breakfast at their home so I can say nothing about the food here but everything else - except the A/C - was cheap, cheap, cheap. If it is August and a the Rhone Valley is in a "canicule" (heat wave), then having the A/C - which worked well once we set the temperature properly - is important, then stay at this hotel; otherwise, know what you are getting in advance! The town is charming down by the Rhone but this hotel is not in the center either.

this 18 th century old manor is located in the rhone valley not far from high ways exits in a very turistic area (ardeche river canyon, crocodile farm , cave of pont d'arc , grotte Chauvet, now classified by Unesco, castle of Grignan,Avignon , Uzes ... ) decoration evokes the journey of a french merchant by the silk roads . each room is a stop over to China . larges living room with barocco design , in door swimming pool and hammam . Double room , suite ( 3 pax) , family apartment ( 5 pax) or the whole mansion ( 20 pax) are proposed for rent. we rent canoe and electric assistance bike ...
We have spent three nights in the Hotel de Digoine. We reserved directly after looking at the information in internet. Our intention was to be close to the Gorges of Ardèche and the caves of Chauvet. Both places are great but the town of the hotel, Bourg-Saint-Andeol, is a place not to rest. It was an important city, now in complete decadence. In the town it was even difficult to find a place to have something for dinner or even for breakfast. It would be better to find other place in the vicinity, as there are many much better to stay. The hotel was a house of an important merchant dedicated to the silk route. It is full of old memories from Asia. The architecture is magnificent and some rooms have a good space. Nevertheless, the full house is in complete decadence, almost in a ruinous state. There has been no maintenance or renovation in any aspect of the house for many years. The beds and bathrooms look as if they have not been changed for the last 15 years. Cleanliness is inexistent. The price is clearly too high for such a place. The pictures show a clean and well taken care house but the reality is far from that. They are really misleading. If your room is looking to the Rhone it seems great, but you have to know that there are two roads right under the window, which makes it very noisy. I would recommend this place only if you are looking for the experience to be in a house that has been leaning for many years in an increasing state of decadence.

nice contact with M Christophe, easy and welcoming! very well located with lovely surroundings for hikes and tours near by. restaurant is excellent. staff is very agreable specially Eloise/Elodie? and another nice man serving breakfast. they should explain that service room is not assured since covid, as in other countries those services are still "as usual". beware of back rooms as until 21.30 restaurant staff go out for smoking. some noise coming from a street fan may bother some people. even if in general the hotel is ok, hygiene details should be review. a pity that outside access wasn't clean as you may expect. The building is very impressive and with lots of "cache" as they call it in french. our shower in the back room was impossible to clap. in general, the experience was good.

Owned by the Pommier Family since 1780, the house saw seven generations of farmers taking care of the land, imprinting their path in the original building. Dating from 1630 AC, the main part of the house was bought by Auguste Pommier under Napoleon Time. Agricultural barns and cellars have been added through time and generations giving a real Provencal charm to the domain. Working some traditional Ardeche crops, the domain started very early to cultivate vines, elaborating quality wines. At the end of the 19th century, the crop of silk worms added a lot of complementary buildings to the winery, including many chimneys still found in the rooms. In 2004, Raphaël, current owners of this family patrimony, decided to renovate the bedrooms of the main building. Working with old materials in a traditional way, they brought life back into the house, respecting history and traditions. Today, guests can stay in one of 5 traditionnal provencal bedrooms, in a peaceful country environment.
our existances brought us so far from the nature and plain life that we needed our stay there to return 50 years back remembering jean ferrat songs to appreciate it. dont expect anything likany kind of hotel nor air condition of full buffet breakfast but for sure you will not find elsewhere that enriching conversation with pierre and monique the parents of raphael the wine grower whose charming wife rachel american born will tell you about how it is to live next to the earth its contingents and the stories of the domaine , their properties of more than 10 generations. the breafast served in the middle of the trees facing the fields made of local cheeses and home made jams, coffee is excellent and all guests participated with conviviality. the swimming pool and jacuzzi will be yours during most of the day. the restaurant we did not visite is well reknown and need earlier reservation.ask the hosts to translate jean ferrat songs and you will remenber this stay as a sole one

In the center of Bourg-Saint-Andeol, opposite the Palace of Bishops, this mansion dates from the eighteenth century. This house with its large size, its period furniture, large fireplaces and spacious, has been fully restored. Pool and courtyard with Mediterranean flowers. The majestic stair climbing can dream for a moment at another time. The beautiful light of the house, just highlight the ancient and modern paintings. Waltz of flavors at the dinner table, served seasonally terrace or in one of the exclusive dining rooms. Warm and friendly.
During these troubled Covid times we decided to go ahead with our 13 day cycle tour and this was day 2. We have planned and enjoyed many cycle tours in France and usually pick a range of places to stay from Château & Relais hotels, small hotels and B&Bs. Inevitably when planing a trip with 10+ separate nights of accommodation you end up with a range of places based on which are convenient to the route or worth a detour. We always end up with at least 1 surprise - a place that was chosen mainly for its location but turns out to be a complete wow experience beyond expectations. Cote Cour was this years surprise. The town of Bourg-Saint-Andeol is a nice little place but not one we would have made a detour for and it just happened to be on the via Rhône cycle route and a convenient stop on our way south to Pont du Gard. Nothing can prepare you for what awaits behind an unassuming front door. Florence and Patric have created a magical place, an authentic step back in time. They are such warm, caring and passionate people it was a total pleasure being in their hotel. They made us feel so welcome it was like visiting friends. All this would be enough but then came the evening meal on the terrace created by Patric. It was a total delight of exquisite tastes close to a starred Michelin standard. Thank you both - to anyone reading this don’t hesitate to add Cote Cour to your itinerary it is worth a trip all on its own.

Nous avons passé 1 nuit dans 1 studio familial. Très bon rapport qualité prix : très bon accueil, logement propre et spacieux. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié. Nous recommandons ! Merci pour ce bon moment !
