With lovely views and a pretty setting just above Assos' square and harbor, our recently renovated modern and fresh pension is just the place to enjoy the famous pleasures of Greece. All rooms have balconies which afford splendid sea views and are furnished and decorated in a simple and modernif style. A wonderfully relaxed and pleasantly bohemian atmosphere pervades the terrace, another lovely spot from which to appreciate the view of the village and the bay spread out before you, where the owners have built a lovely swimming pool here as a finishing touch.
We loved this quirky arty room with fun furniture but most of all the views of three aspects of Assos harbour with a lovely private balcony with comfy seating. A beautiful room . Fun little steps ( or you can walk round by road 2 mins) to all the restaurants and small stony beach. Or walk up in the pine forest to castle for sunset. Lovely quiet v Greek village.

Roi is a neoclassic building of 10 luxury studios which you can enjoy the famous Greek hospitality. It is built on a solid rock location and provide to the guests the beautiful colorful view of Myrtos gulf under the impressive attendance of Assos castle.
We were so happy to have chosen lovely Roi Suites for our visit to Kefalonia. Everything about it is wonderful; the amazing view from all rooms, the flowers everywhere...will never forget those bougainvilleas, the lovely building itself, the large, comfortable rooms, the warmth and hospitality of Maria, the owner, and the couple that helps her, the pool, the location. Yes, Assos must be one of the most picturesque villages in Greece. We (2 couples), were there during the Covid 19 measures so there was no breakfast by the pool. The fridge and kitchen draws were stocked with all breakfast food items. Unfortunately, we were also there during the hurricane that passed over Kefalonia and brought damage and havoc to this beautiful village. We were heartbroken to see the result of it's passing when we were able to venture out after 2 days inside the rooms. BUT, the resilience of the Greeks and of all humans is always awe inspiring. When we returnd to Assos 3 weeks later, almost all debris had been cleared. We pray that all will be back to normal next summer and we wholeheartedly recommend Roi Apartments to all of you looking for a place to stay in Kefalonia.

Northwest Kefalonia: a verdant peninsula surrounded by the blue Ionian Sea and an imposing fortress stands eternal guard reminiscent of another era. You are the ace, the most traditional and picturesque village of northern Kefalonia milestone in the history of the island and the most favorite tourist destination of our area.Apartments "NIRIIDES"In this environment we have created a complex of apartments "NIRIIDES." The location, friendly environment, tranquility and natural beauty of the area will amaze you and your urge to know and love the island. The apartments "NIRIIDES" consists of 4 apartments that can accommodate 2 to 4 people each, ideal for groups and families, and 6 studios for 2 to 3 people. All apartments are fully furnished and have spacious balconies overlooking the beach of Assos and the deep Ionian Sea.
We went there for two 3 days. Positive sides are: good price and friendly owner. The view is good but I think that Assos is cozy and the view amazing also from the port so it does not make sense to be on a uphill place that requires 10 minutes of stairs either during the day when is hot or after dinner. We tried two rooms in the upper floor, both very small without space for the luggage, the second one (room 1) with limited view. Also small missing things makes the traveler's experience poor: 1) the hanger for the shower was broken in one room and placed too high - so not useful- in the other, 2) there is only a small bin in the toilet that get filled immediately, 3) no coffee or tea available in the room (only place in Greece where I did not find it), 4) A/C in such a small room can be turned on only with window closed, which makes the room very cold overnight despite all the attempts to regulate the temperature. So in summary I think is OK but you may find much better in Assos for similar price.

The Cavos Inn is set on a hill inside the picturesque village of Assos. It is about 200m from the centre and restaurants. There are 9 rooms with breakfast supplied on a terrace overlooking the sea but no other meals. It is simple, clean, comfortable accommodation with a friendly and helpful owner who will answer all your questions. The rooms have a TV and you can access Netflix if you have an account and are able to guess the Greek instructions. Most of the rooms have a balcony that just fits 2 chairs and a table allowing you to toast the amazing sunset every evening. There is a fridge in the rooms but kettles are outside on the landing. Decor is smart with pastel colours. The rooms can be described as adequate rather than ample and the same applies to the en suite. The best rooms have a full sea view that is outstandng. Some of the rooms have a side sea view or no sea view. There is not a lot of difference in price but be clear what you want when booking. Also some of the beds are truly double but others are 2 single mattresses put together. Specify if this concerns you. Breakfast consists of bread, cakes, eggs, cereal, yoghurt and honey. It is light so don't expect a massive buffet. Note that there are a lot of steps in the property but this is the situation in Assos as a whole. If you want peace and quiet with a genuine Greek experience then this is the place for you.

The owner avoids issuing receipts to evade tax. The place is a difficult long hike from the bay in the photos shown and then 63 steps to reception. Water from taps and shower is salt water and there is only parking for 2-3 cars but these are mostly taken. Find an alternative to this or its neighbour Assos Niriides owned by the same owner.

Sophia's Studios are a basic place to base yourself in Assos. Here are pros and cons so you can make an informed decision. Pros: Location - while a bit removed from the activity of the town itself and the other accommodations (it's up a hill), you are in Assos which is a beautiful seaside town. Balcony for drying towels, swimming costumes, and wet clothes. Air con works and keeps the room cool. Balcony has shutters to block out morning light if you need to sleep. Cons: Overall, 70 euro (in June) seems high for the room itself, as it's very basic. Specifically: Bathroom is super tiny, like being on a boat. You have to get behind the sink to use the toilet, and if you aren't incredibly careful with the shower curtain, you will end up with a pool in the bathroom. Could be improved by removing the kitchen stuff (only need a fridge) when you enter the room in order to have a larger bathroom. Bed is not very comfortable. Ants kept finding their way inside (we had no food), so we ended up stuffing plastic bags in the gap between the floor and the door. Per above re location - you are in Assos which is great but this place is just put of the way so you can't see the sea or pastel coloured buildings in the town from your balcony. This is budget accommodation but priced too high. €50 would be fairer.
